Your hard work, progress and discipline reminds me of a quote nonchalantxo posted awhile back.
Amazing work!

No fair! I weigh the same, but at 15% BF I look almost pudgy compared to you! lol

You’ve always had my back K! 🤗
I saw this quote at the time and liked it. The fact that you associate my post to that is a great compliment. 🤗
15% BF is a good healthy spot to be. When I started my cut this year I was sitting at an estimate of 12-13%. If I’m able to correctly pull off this “fill out phase” then by the 27th I’ll be 185-186 still at ~8-9% BF. Then by the time I come back from the beach on the 5th of July I’ll be 20% bf 😅

So tomorrow will mark the end of the trial show prep I decided to do this year. The dieting process was not as difficult as I expected it to be. The majority of the time was spent slowly leaning while trying to maintain as muscle as possible. I started this process at ~200-205lbs. Lowest point while leaning was 180lbs. I began the Fill Out phase in mid June and that did not go as I expected. First small bump of calories and carbs I dropped to a new low in body weight. I’ve slowly added more and more calories in with daily check-ins to make sure I’m not flattening out or spilling over. So the fill out phase will continue but I leave for vacation on Saturday, so I will not be as meticulous and will indulge in great food and beverage. According to chatgbt I’m right in the sweet spot but I personally feel I should have been slightly more aggressive with the carb bump coming out of the cut and into the fill out phase. My lowest weight (in the fill out phase) was 178.6 yesterday morning. I’m 179.2 this morning. Over all I have throughly enjoyed the challenge and the process. My goal for next spring early summer is to do my first competition at roughly this same BF% but with a stage weight of ~185-190lbs. For those who may be interested my current BF% as of yesterday morning was between 6.8-7.3%bf. As I’ve gotten leaner I’ve noticed loser skin right under my belly button and on my lower back (love handles). I feel depleted but also soft today which is a let down but it is what is. I’ll keep on grinding. I apologize in advance if my posing trunks offend anyone.

the competition grind is something else dude - I’m just trying to get where you are now - although i haven’t been as strict as I should have thus far - as I’ve had some drinking days and over eating days mixed in and has pushed my progress back each time - I’ve prolly got 10 more lbs to go maybe 15 - I’m down 20 since January - the love handle and extra skin do be a pitch - looks like you’re kicking *kitten* from all of our perspectives here - but I know our goal post are always moving - cause always gotta have that next level to try to get to. Well fuggin done my dude

rob, I appreciate your perspective. You are 100% correct, the diet is absolutely the hardest part to stick to. Weighing and tracking literally everything you put in your mouth is hard enough. Then once your body fat percentage drops to a certain point the macro manipulation from day-to-day is the most confusing for myself. I have enjoyed it all though. I will definitely do it again and try to hit that goal come next spring early summer. First I’ll have to hit 210-215lbs, 15ish% body fat through the fall and winter. I have spoken with some people who have done a show who absolutely hated the entire process and never did another one and I’ve spoken to some who hated the process but loved it so much once they stepped on stage it was worth repeating. I actually enjoyed the process so we’ll see what it’s like when I do a show. And hopefully I don’t embarrass myself too bad lol
