Alright, so this is more of a vent but ...
I was about 35 days through my P90x/Insanity Hybrid when, 1st I had to get my second Hep B shot so I can work in clinicals and that put me out for 2 days, worked out another 3 days, then fell ill. Was in bed for 3 days solid, and "out of commission" for about another 3 days. FINALLY I am just now starting to feel well enough to function, but NOT well enough to work out.
I figured I would take the rest of this week and "recover" and start to do doubles next week for the whole "redo" of phase 2. My goal was to look good in a burlesque costume for Halloween and I am DAMN determined to complete that goal. I just hope my body will allow me to do doubles. Maybe I'll start out my first week of doing doubles only on my resistance days. Strength training in the AM and cardio in the PM. and see how that works.
Has anyone else had an issue with this before? How did it workout for you? I miss my workouts and miss the after workout "energy high" I would get and need to get back to it!
Thanks for letting me **vent** and any opinions or information is greatly appreciated

I feel for ya... I bought a pair of expensive shoes thinking they would help me and my workouts and instead they have damaged one of my feet. I had developed plantar fasciitis and didn't notice it and haven't been able to walk for about a month now. I am in excruciating pain and I miss my morning walks alone and evening walks with my husband and child.
I just try to stay off my foot (difficult with a 23 month old) and ice it and do the stretching exercises recommended to me. But I am sooooo tired of this pain and want to get back to walking again!0 -
U gotta rest when you are sick! Just get back into it when you can. I too am sick and out of commissiom and plan on hittimgna few doubl sessions after this for the next few weeks before a trip.
Watch the nutrition and kick *kitten* on your fitnessn when you body feels good again.

On my days off work sometimes I do a morning and night workout. I'll take the next days routine and do it later that day. Usually its an upper body in the a.m. and lower in the pm. As long as its different muscles, you'll be alright, I wouldn't do the SAME exercises cause you'll want that bodypart hit the most to be able to recover for a day or two.
I'm only responding cause I wanna see this costume.
Good luck.0 -
Tiff,
Sorry you got sick. I like your idea of working the doubles in slowly. You probably don't want to go all insane, harecore right out of the box. You body will deffinatley have to get use to "Bringing it" like you always do. Just listen to your body. It'll let you know how hard you can go.0 -
Thank you all for your info and well wishes!
I am back at'm today! Was going to do doubles however I started today out with a migraine (due to all this weather we are having) and when I take Excedrine it "messes" with me and I cannot workout. I get all weird, jittery and faint. So I will have to start tomorrow. But DID do my morning workout before the Excedrine0
