Game changing NSV

When I started here in earnest at the end of January I was heavier than the day I gave birth to my daughter over 11 years before. I honestly had no idea that I had let myself get up to 182 pounds. It snuck up on my like some cellulite spreading ninja.

I had to buy new clothes when I got this job. I tossed all of my old clothes except for my favorite pair of slacks and my favorite pencil skirt - which I had no hope in hell of even getting one thunder thigh in to...

I kept them because while they were my favorites they also represented the high end of my normal weight range for years. When they started to get tight would watch what I ate until they were roomy again. Sometimes they were even too big. But so long as I fit in this one skirt and this one pair of slacks, I never felt "fat".

I have since had to buy new pants and skirts twice (from 16s and now in 10s). For laughs I thought I'd see how close I was to fitting in my favorites...

I will heretofore cease to refer to myself as "fatass". I FINALLY feel like I've got a handle on this.

p.s. I weigh at least 8 pounds more now than the last time I wore this skirt about 18 months ago - and I was PACKED into it with spanx. Please don't let the scale dictate your happiness!

    1. Congrats. You should be very proud of what you've accomplished.

    2. Thanks for the reminder about measuring success beyond the scale.

Love the picture. Love this post. Love you.

Your attitude has always been inspiring to me - including (especially!) the sarcasm.

Thank you for being part of the MFP community and being a good friend.

You are one awesome inspiration lady. I must say. You are the bees knees.
You should be so proud of yourself. You do not look chubby AT ALL.
I can't wait to be in your position.

I keep dogging myself because my scale losses have been so slow, but they are still losses and I LOOK and FEEL much better. It may take me twice as long to get "there" but I will get there and I will be better for it.

You rock. Celebrate your sexiness in some awesome and crazy way tonight. You've earned it!

You are one sexy woman. Your dad would be so proud of you, like a good highlander you grabbed hold of what you wanted and you made it happen. Glad to be your friend.
