Missing a meal-didn’t log it.

I am new to MFP. Have been logging everything the past week and lost 13#! I am so excited to see where this journey takes me and lose this new diagnosis of “pre-diabetic.”
I slept in on Saturday so missed Breakfast. MFP thinks I forgot to log it. Is there a “placeholder” of sorts? TIA.

As far as I remember there is no requirement to log a particular meal. The reminders should be user configurable and would be exactly that: a reminder.
I would just carry on logging the food i eat.
As a side note and fully realizing the intricate details of determining one's exact weight level (especially when the number of observations is small), and also realizing that initial week scale reductions can often be disproportionately sharp, a reminder that 13lbs, while awesome to behold, is an exceedingly fast rate of loss to consist entirely of adipose (fat reserves).
All this is a long way of saying that seeing your rate of loss slow down over the next few weeks is not only expected but that if it fails to materialize it would become concerning unless your starting point is well above 500 lb.
There is nothing to worry about here and a lot to celebrate. But if after 3 or 4 weeks you continue to lose at much more than 1% of your total weight per week you may want to consider easing off the pedal! Till then: have at it! 👍🏼

MFP is just reminding you to keep logging in case you actually did forget. Ignore it and it should go away on its own.

I don’t get any notifications of missed meals. Is this a premium feature?
Log when you want. Many people log food well in advance as a helpful time saver.

It's not a default premium feature as far as I can tell, assuming I understand what OP means.
I have premium, have never seen a nag message about a missed meal. Messages about too low calories happen (not to me 😆😉). The habit tracker lets a person be reminded to log a meal a day or something like that, but the person needs to change a setting to get that. There's a logging progress card that appears on the dashboard unless I person turns that off, but I think that just says how many meals a person has logged, not really highlights missed meals explicitly, though I got rid of that card so maybe it has variations I haven't seen.
I don't know of other things that could be interpreted as being a "forgot to log a meal" reminder, but for sure I don't know everything. But I don't think it's a default thing, because if it had happened and I'd turned a setting off to get rid of it, I think I'd remember that.
