I've been working on the hundredpushups.com challenge since late last summer. After setbacks and a lot of hard work, I finally managed to hit 100 plank style (boy style) push ups!
I am going to move back a few weeks and work on getting lower and maybe different hand positions. I like the progress I am seeing in my arms, and the accomplishment I feel!
If you all want to join us on the thread it's
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/43337-hundred-push-ups-march
We start a new one every month. Some people are doing planks, other people are doing "girly" ones, or even against the wall. We are all at different levels. Come join us!

Congrats MM! So proud of you. You are so inspiring. Its because of you that I started doing this challenge and I agree with you, there is such a sense of accomplishment when you finish a set. I still have a VERY long way to go but I'm seeing results and I love the way they look.

    Again Congrats!

That is totally cool! I am going to check that out! I started push ups yesterday because I am really needing to tone up and get some strength in my upper body again. I did them on my knees to build strength before I can do plank style. I can only do 20 at a time, but I did another set of 20 before dinner just to put a fire under it! I would love to be able to 100 push ups- did you do them consecutively?! WOW!!

Thanks everyone! :blushing: If you are doing the program, or just starting, I just want to say that you can do it! It took me a really long time and some days I just didn't want to do it, but I always felt better after I did. I couldn't have made it without my friends on the push ups thread! All of the people on MFP keep me motivated and inspired! I am thankful for all of you! :flowerforyou:

Congrats woman!! .. that's awesome.. I know you worked really hard and really stuck with it.. way to go!

I've started and stopped several times.. I've found I really dislike doing pushups.. :grumble:
for now, I'm focusing on my weight training and hopefully building up more strength so when I come back to this I won't hate it so much..

you're my inspiration (and those arms.. WHOO HOO!!)... :drinker:

    CONGRATULATIONS!

i took my boys ( 16 and 17 ) to join my gym last night because they now want to be (buff ) like me.
so i took them showed them one of my routines of couse after yesterday morning workout of

they are crying they are sore abs hurt and they did less then half reps and no weighted ball so i had to show them how its done
