Ok, so I got hypnotised today at 1:30......my last cigarette was at 1:25......I am officially almost 6 hours without a smoke....I am starting to get a crave right now....but somehow it seems to get guided into a different direction..

It was weird I came out feeling quite strange and craving carrots......I recall him mentioning something about smaller portions and alot more green veggies and lots of water......and something about you will not substitute cigs for food, in fact you might eat a little less then you are used to or right at the amount you would like to consume to lose.......and then off to my smoking again....I feel strange, had a bit of a swimmy head....funny thing is on my way to my sisters (she smokes) my honey lit up....and I had to roll the window down in the truck, and then the 2 of them were smoking and I just could not be around it.....soooooo wierd. Like I said I am just now having cravings for a cigarette. My honey says it actually my body craving nicotine and I need to ride it out.....cause honestly the cravings are not at all like doing cold turkey......

So there it is.......6 hours without a smoke for an every hour smoker.....check with me next week and see how I am doing...................:drinker:

I typically don't believe in this stuff, but my father did hypnosis for smoking about 20 years ago, and has not picked up a cigarette since the day he did it.

Good luck, I certainly hope this is the answer for you as it will be so much healthier for you not smoking. I have seen it work.

I'd have to say I'm also not a believer. That said I've never known anyone who tried that method. If it works for you that's wonderful, let me know . I'm a smoker who has quit quitting a couple of times:blushing:

I quit smoking about 2 yrs ago...Have a drink of water when you want a cig. and remember....the craving always goes away. No matter how bad it is, it passes, so if you can just focus on doing something else, you will get thru it ♥

Reading her tales, I'm getting the oddest urge to gobble like a cold turkey--

    this hypnosis stuff works!
  • First thing: get tons of fresh oranges and eat the heck out of them. It cleanses the body and therefore lowering your nicotine levels in the blood faster so your cravings will be less and for a shorter time period. This is an effective method for smokers if you do it! Oh and lots of water to expedite the detoxing of the nicotine.

Also, many people have been successful with recovering from addiction including cigarettes with acupuncture. It takes time because it is a process.but it is supposed to be effective!

I am officially 24 hours smoke free.....I am having cravings, and I noticed I am doing some of the same things I did when I smoke.....if the phone rings, I think about grabbing a cigarette and going outside for a smoke, I ended up going out.....but no smoke. I am having small cravings...but not enough to make me have a smoke....just nagging feeling like I want to....thinkin I am gonna try the oranges for sure, the water for sure and something RedNeckWoman recommended........bust through cardio it will help clear my lungs.....

Wish me luck all. They say the nicotine is out of your system in 48hours.

Sassie....good for you girl. You have already saved money and your lungs are thanking you. Another thing you might try is brsuhing your teeth when you have the urge. The minty taste is much better than a nasty smoke. And, if you have a lot of cravings you could have awesomely clean teeth!

Hi! I got hypnotized and lost 30 lbs. I left there craving blueberries and strawberries and ate so healthy for over a year--lots of greens, avocados, grapefruit. Then it wore off. Oh,,,, she also hypnotized me to start exercising again. That also worked so well for about a year. I have been thinking about going back and getting hypnotized again. I also do acupuncture yet I think the hypnosis is amazing.
I am happy for you. Keep up the great, fantastic, life changing work!
