Congrats on your streak! I also lost a bit more than 100 pounds in the 2000s, and have been working on maintenance ever since. I just hit 5190 days on this diary, and I plan to keep it up. It has been part of my daily routine since late 2010 / early 2011.

Very impressive. I've been logging in since early 2013 so lost count….have lost about 80 lbs and still maintaining that weight loss. Logging works!

Very impressive Aimee, I love it when people find me from that challenge thread because then we get to share our progress and experiences. I was around 260 lbs in my early 30s and now I’m maintaining at about 200. It’s been a long journey, but worth every step. I'm not focused on reaching a specific number anymore—just aiming to feel good and stay consistent. Once I got below my highest weight, I realized how much better it felt, and that helped me stay motivated.

I've been logging more consistently over the past few years, and it's made a real difference. It’s helped me stay mindful about what I eat and how I feel. My cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which were once high, have improved. I don’t take any medications for cholesterol, diabetes, or blood pressure. I sleep better, move more easily, and have more energy. Overall, I just feel healthier and more capable in my day-to-day life.

I've been on MFP for more than 13 years. I lost 39 pounds and was well within my goal weight. I logged every single day until 5 years ago. Then I decided I didn't need to and let it go for a while.

I am back again. I'm still at my original goal weight, but want to get back down to my 'ideal' weight - where I was when I graduated from college. At 66, that was a long time ago, but a target I had reached and easily maintained within the last decade.

So back at it with a vengeance. I find logging easy and it keeps me from slipping into bad habits. I think we burn fewere calories as we get older so small changes in diet have a big effect. And I cannot maintain without regular walking and keeping my carbs under 40%. It's just how I'm built.

Hi, Aimee: Congratulations on your amazing loss!

I've been using MFP for over 10 years - it was 10 years in late July. During a lot of stages of my life, I've gone out of internet range, so it's kind of an anomaly that I've logged in to MFP daily since starting, at 3676 days right now. I'm not attached to that number, personally, but it does kind of blow my mind to think about it. Consistency is not my middle name!

I only lost about 50 pounds, but for me that was from class 1 obese to a healthy weight. It took just under a year, and the time since then I've been maintaining a healthy weight.

You've done wonderfully: What a great example!

I'm betting your life has changed in many ways because of that reduction in body weight. Do you have any examples of benefits you've seen? For me, all my health markers that used to be bad are now normal, and I have much less frequent and less severe discomfort or pain from pre-existing joint issues like arthritis.

    Wishing you continuing success!
