Sugar substitute

I've just realized that I have a sensitivity to the sugar substitutes such as Sweet and Low, Splenda, and Equal. For some reason, I get really bad headaches and body aches. I have no other choice than to eat regular refined sugar, so I guess. My question to you is, are there any other low calorie, low sugar substitutes out there without all the bad side effects?

Yep, stevia. Truvia is a name brand, but stevia is the actual sweetner...it comes from a leaf. Personally, I prefer Kal (name brand) stevia.

You don't need a sugar substitute, you just need to moderate the amount of sugar you consume.

I've tried this and actually I've been doing pretty well. I'm basically trying to eliminate the use of refined sugar all together.

I use truvia/stevia when I use sugar at all. It was suggested by my doctor and I love it.
  • Thanks I will try the stevia/truvia
  • I like Target's brand of stevia, inexpensive and works great.
