Has anyone been to the Doctor Who Experience in London?

Hey guys!
I'm going on a city trip to London in 2 weeks and I'm debating going to the Doctor Who experience. I'm a huge fan of the show but the friend I'm going with has never seen an episode. She told me she was ok to do some shopping while I was doing my "stuff", though!
The thing is I'm not your typical Doctor Who fan (32 yo woman) and I don't want to feel self-conscious if I'm going there alone... You know, like the weird grow-up that does teen/tween stuff! ;-)
What do you think? What's the crowd in there like? What about the interactive experience? Will I still enjoy it on my own?
Thanks!

OMG, I went this summer and it was AMAZING. Seriously. It was absolutely awesome. And there were people of all ages there -- I'm 27 and I didn't feel the least bit self-conscious. If it didn't involve a nine hour / thousand dollar plane ride, I'd go again this weekend. ^.^ Don't miss it!0

How is 32 yrs old not a typical Doctor Who fan? I grew up with that show... Or have you only seen the reboot of the series?0

--oh, and take a camera! They have tons and tons of original props (from the original and new series) that you can take pictures of / with. The interactive stuff is amazing, and you're all bunched up in a group so no one will even be able to tell if you're there on your own.0

I'm not British so I had never seen the show before the reboot (it never aired in France/Belgium). I have watched a few classic episodes but they're hard to find with French subtitles!0 -

Haha, I think I'm pretty much sold now! I love Daleks. Well, I love to hate them.
Do you think it'd be best to book beforehand or can I just show up there?0 -
Just wanted to say....JEALOUS!! lol that should be awesome!0

I'd probably book before hand if you have a specific window of time you need to go, just so you can be sure that time slot doesn't fill up. They're doing a bunch of Halloween themed stuff, so it's probably going to be pretty busy.0
