same here. Gone for a week to visit grandbaby, enjoyed Inn n Out, some grease dripping delicious carnitas tacos, a lovely teriyaki. Also made a scratch batch of smoked cheese mac and cheese, which was deeeee-licious.
Made a point to estimate (daughter forbids a good scale in her home, sigh) food and continue logging carefully.By doing this, I was aware when I was going over, or at risk of doing so Awareness is half the battle. So I cut out most snacks Easy, since the time change had me messed up anyway.
I estimated I was over for those six days by about 2,000 calories That’s less than a pound, which is typically considered as 3500 caloriesReturned and went right back to plan.
A week is not going to kill anyone, and it’s still possible to stay in control.
As long as you have the mental mindset to return and get back to plan, you’re fine. It’s those people who can’t turn off the faucet that lose the thread. (That’s a mixed metaphor btw.)
Don’t sweat it. Good times with family or on holiday should be enjoyed, not a source of stress and guilt.
