Me and my husband were on a "diet" the past week.
By Wednesday we were starving and caved in and went and got fast food!
I need good filling recipes that are low in calorie and fat, stuff thats good for a diet.

If you have any idea's, please help me!

Check out the cooking light website... www.cookinglight.com

They have a TON of recipes that are all diet friendly. Many of them are comfort foods adjusted to be healthier, so I'm sure you'll find something you like.

I found it helpful to make a list of foods I LOVED! Chocolate, Hummus, Tabouli, Crepes with coolwhip, cereal ,burger king burgers, greek salads and found out what all the fat, cals, protein were in them. The ones that were fairly low I kept.. and I eat them EVERYDAY! Tabouli, Hummus, and the things that were high that I could change- I did- so I can still eat them too. Greek salad with Fat free feta, 5 olives, and a tablespoon of reg. dressing. Crepes, I found at Kroger premaid 50 cals and fat free coolwhip with fresh strawberries- just as delicious! Even tacos- I switched to low fat turkey burger with taco seasoning, salsa, fat free sour cream and I buy lowfat string cheese that I pull a few pieces from and top it off with lettuce. Pretty simple yet great. Even if I can only have the one.. I will take it ! Dont get me wrong.. I steal cookies every now and then... but I say ok 1 is enough to taste and be done.. walk away. But I am also mindful of not buying foods that are over 4grams of fat. Which is hard with 2 kiddies who see boxes with their favorite cartoon charachters on them! ;)

This has helped me tremendously when cooking meals for me, because I love them , know how to make them healthy and I dont feel deprived. I cant eat the burger king unless its my off day... but honestly.. I would eat that only and then not eat all day knowing how many fat and cals were in it. I was hungry the rest of the night. For me I would rather eat ALL DAY! so I know my regular foods that make me feel like its just a lifestyle not a diet. Hope this helps!!
