    3× (7' run + 1' fast run +1' walk)

    5' run

Respect for all of you running regularly and especially for 12 miles at 4am. I can only dream about it at that time 😅

Great runs everyone! Didn't want to post individual comments as I've been offline too long but went through & liked my way through!

@Zaxa2021, my first 5K run outside was my first 5K run outside.
All previous runs were on a treadmill. You'll be fine.

Those smokey skies @WarmJellyfish! do a real number on your breathing (ask me how I know!). Hope it clears out soon.
It's funny @quilteryoyo, seeing your comments about your yard sale, I've been debating if I should rent a table with a local church that is holding a yard sale. I'm still debating….

Posting 4 days, more lengthy info in spoiler.
    Sept:

    01/09 - 8.08km / 5.02 miles - Summer Shores 8K race
    02/09 - 0km Rest day
    03/09 - 6.21km / 3.86 miles
    04/09 - 0km
    05/09 - 0km
    06/09 - 9.14km / 5.68 miles
    07/09 - 5.09km / 3.16 miles - Yorkville 5K race

    Total = 14.29km / 8.88 miles (Goal - 161Km / 100 miles)

Thurs & part of Fri I was waylaid by nerve pain & a migraine. No running for me, though I did walk 11km on Friday after I decided I needed some fresh air.
Sat's run was an easy 9K to loosen up my legs.

Today's run was the Yorkville 5K race in Toronto.
Great weather (10⁰-13⁰ C / 50⁰ - 55⁰ F), partly sunny, cool breeze). One of my favourite 5K races in the city as it's an fairly flat 5K, it raises money for around 100 local charities, gets a fairly large runner turnout (1,200 I heard this morning), and has a ton of sponsors.
Most races give you a t-shirt & medal, this one - at the race kit pickup →T-shirt, baseball cap, socks, huge tote bag, free coffee, magazines, etc. After the race, medal, tote bag, and so many samples & full size free products that I stopped taking things after my tote bag got to heavy to carry.

From a run standpoint - I didn't do great but I did okay (was about 2 mins+ on my best time on this race) & yet I was still pretty happy with this result, as after this past week I really expected to do much worse🤷‍♂️.
I did need to walk 3 times to try to alleviate nerve pain, which of course affected my results, though I kept the last 2 times walking as short as I could.

After one walking session & massaging my thigh to try to offset the pain, I started running again & looked up just in time to see a photographer focusing right on me. After some pics, he gave me a thumbs up as I ran by. I really hope he didn't get a pic of the pain on my face, though I'm pretty sure the 'thumbs up' was a 'that's a good pain pic'. lol📸
Ended up finishing the race 3rd in my division (way further back from #2 than I should've been) & in the top 22% overall (normally I'd hit the top 15%)🤷‍♂️.

@micukica, so this wasn't my worst 5K result, but I think it was the worst on this particular 5K race!

    September Goal: 165 miles

    9/1: 6.05 miles

    9/2: 6.52 miles

    9/3: 6.25 miles

    9/4: 6.35 miles

    9/5: 6.30 miles

    9/7: 12.02 miles

    43.59/165 miles completed for September

It was really pleasant at 65°F this morning. I ran 12 miles. That was my longest run since May. It is just too hard for me to run that far in the heat. It was nice to get some distance in and not feel like I was dying at the end.

Congrats on your 5K @John772016 especially after not feeling well.

Way to go on your 12 mile TM run @Zaxa2021! That is impressive.

I'm like @John772016 and read all the posts, but not commenting on all individually, as I missed a couple of days. You all did great!

    Enjoy your trip @chris_in_cal .

@Zaxa2021 I'm very impressed with 12 miles on the treadmill! Glad the guy gave you the motivation you needed to keep going.

@Scott6255 I hope your calf is okay. You've had enough injuries lately!

Thank you and great run @Teresa502 !

Sounds like you did great on your run @WarmJellyfish . That's a long time on your feet/legs…and in the haze of smoke too.

@John772016 So sorry that you had the nerve pain and migraine. It sounds like you did good on your 5k, esp. with all things considered. If you get a good "pain" picture, you'll have to share it with us. If you decide to sign up for the yard sale, I hope you have fun.

    Great long run @kgirlhart .

    Beautiful @AlphaHowls

    Great running all.

Yesterday was supposed to be a longer 10k recovery session but the left foot said nope from the day before. The arthritis is back. Cut it in half and shuffled my way through it. Now I know how slow I can go 🤣, should make the cut-offs hopefully. Just have to avoid aggravating anything. Need to work on the diet still, gotta get a bunch of weight off soon.

@John772016 yes about the♨️. Nice race.

It wasn't as nice here @Teresa502 , but it was 65° and it was pretty pleasant. I ran 6 miles. The moon was really bright and it was a really nice morning. There were lots of loose dogs today. None of them gave me any trouble, but I did reroute a couple of times to avoid them.

Hmm.. Garmin has a badge for a 10km run next weekend. I barely made 5km with lots of walking. Would you count, for yourself an attempt at 10km with all the elevation here? I'd probably have to walk close to half of it, and even walking uphill is very strenuous for me. On the other hand I feel like I want to try.

63 of 225kms so far. Recovery walk yesterday. Sleep was crap last night so garmin changed the threshold session into a short recovery one. Nah, I'm going to do a longer fartlek instead, sorta miss doing intervals. HRV status has been dropping like a stone and RHR is going up. Good thing taper starts in a couple of weeks.

@yirara nice photos! Go for the 10k. I walk a lot too.

@ContraryMaryMary duckies! Good you got them back together.

    Great running @tarun_yadavA , @Teresa502 , @kgirlhart , and @username301

@CMorning99 Great job on logging calories! Sometimes, I got in those moods too. I hope you have a great week.

Sorry your arthritis is giving you issues @WarmJellyfish . I think a few of us are working on getting rid of some excess weight, me included.

Sorry about the gym being closed @yirara . Was is just for the day or permanently? You did great getting in the walks and run. Sounds wonderful. That's a beautiful beach. You could probably do the 10K. Just take it easy and walk as much as you want/need to.

Those ducklings are so cute @ContraryMaryMary . I'm glad you were able to keep them out of the pool. Sounds like you are staying busy and getting in plenty of exercise.

Sorry about your calf @Scott6255 . I hope rest makes it better quickly.

I saved my report as a draft yesterday. But didn't post it. So here is yesterday's report:

I ran 6 miles this morning. The temperature was the same as yesterday, but the dew point was 53° compared to 63° yesterday and the humidity was lower, so it was much nicer. It was nice yesterday, but today was even better. I didn't see any loose dogs today, just some cats, and a little cottontail rabbit.

    And here is today's report:

I ran a 6.5 mile tempo run today. The weather was wonderful again. I felt good about hitting the paces. I saw a couple of skunks today. They were running across the road and both had their tail straight up. I think one was chasing the other.

    You do great @tarun_yadavA, @ContraryMaryMary , @Zaxa2021 ,

Sorry you have such a hard time @WarmJellyfish but you are an inspiration as you keep going.

Great running @kgirlhart . Sounds like skunk love. 🤣 Reminds me of the Pepe' Le Pew cartoon. Did you ever see that?

You're doing great. I'm sure you can make the 10K. You may have to walk more than you want, but you can do it @yirara .

A third of the way through the month & I remain on plan. Today's easy run felt a bit harder than last week, probably because i did it post work.
