If you get in enough protein they're unnecessary. It's better to get in the proper amount of protein rather than to try to supplement with BCAAs

No, I don't. I do find protein relatively filling, and do have a relatively high protein minimum (set based on my estimated lean body mass, just over 1g daily per pound of LBM). I usually get 10-20% more than that minimum.

Supplementing can be useful for someone who otherwise has trouble fitting enough high-quality protein into their eating.

If you're talking about a protein supplement with the correct balance of all 9 amino acids (plus maybe some of the others), that's fine, if you have trouble getting adequate protein from food.

If you're talking about BCAAs (or collagen), I really don't understand the point of intentionally picking a supplement without all of the essential amino acids. I'm a vegetarian, and amino acid balance (and bioavailability) is a thing I need to think about. If supplementing, I'd at minimum choose a supplement with all 9 essential amino acids, and if there were percieved personal value in doing it, I might look to increase some of the non-essentials besides.

I prefer to get as many nutrients as I can from food rather than supplements: That route has been time-tested for centuries, and is tastier to me. Other than those personal preferences, I think supplementing can be fine if tending to be short on some essential nutrient regularly, and as long as dosage choices also consider risks.
