maybe not exactly but I can’t walk anymore than what I do at work really due to increased hip pain if I do. I have a hip ligament tear and impingement and need surgery. I have my consult with surgery on Wednesday. So I have just been focusing on diet. But I also have a gluten allergy. I intermittent fast but have for almost 2 yrs already so used to it. I’d say focus on Whole Foods , drinking more water and doing what you can. Even it’s it limited . Such as chair push ups, arm exercises as able, any walking you are able to do even if it’s only a little bit.

I will add it needs to be something you can keep up with or it’s not sustainable. Small changes over time add up and even if it’s slow going at least it’s a step in the right direction.
Drastic changes rarely stick due to being something people can’t keep up with.

Mary, ask your doctor or friends, or Google to see if there’s a rehab gym nearby.
Not a lot of folks are aware that some hospitals have rehab gyms.
This isn’t the same thing as going to physical therapy.
My local hospital offers a full service gym: weight room, indoor track and pool, class rooms, and discount training with degreed trainers. They even offer discount dietician visits.
Classes cover the full gamut, and include cardiac rehab exercise classes, Parkinsons Boxing, floor stretch , Pilates, chair yoga (the real thing not the clickbait garbage), aquafit, cardio weight classes, Beach Body type classes, lap swimming.
It’s also dirt cheap for residents to join, since we’re supplementing and supporting its use for patients and hospital employees. We’ve got everything from young medical personnel to users in their 90’s, the super fit to people on walkers.
It’s a very unique and non-threatening, non-judgmental environment. Also seldom crowded, so getting equipment or in to classes is never a problem.
Not a lot of folks know these places exist, although they’re generally in cities large enough to support a hospital that’s, in turn, large enough to support a large gym.

and, have you talked with a dietician?
Mine rocked my world.
Go in to sessions armed with a pad and written list of questions so you can use your alloted time efficiently.
If you’re in the USA, you want a dietician, which means they are registered and degreed.
Anybody- you, me- can call themselves a “nutritionist”, including your neighbor selling protein bars for some multi level marketing outfit.
