Think high calorie foods. Curries, naan, rice, nuts. Any kind of pastries you like. All those will give you quite a few calories in a smaller amount of food. I can be the same way. When I'm under a lot of stress, I stop eating. When I'm stressed, I have to either read or watch tv while I'm eating, or I won't eat enough.

Well, it's hard to say without more details but as a rule if your stress is causing you to treat your body and mind poorly (limits eating, sleeping, and exercising) then you're caught in a cycle that won't fix itself.
I've been waiting for life to become less stressful for 30 years… it ain't gonna happen.

If you accept this as reality then also understand that poor nutrition (the real problem with undereating), poor sleep, and no exercise is making your stress WORSE. If you don't prioritize - despite our busy you are - eating, sleeping, and exercising you WILL end up in the hospital where you will be forced to prioritize these things.

I would also ask you to accept that food is fuel. It doesn't matter if you "feel like eating", your body and mind require fuel. I'm NEVER hungry in the morning. Still I eat a bowl of Greek yogurt and granola as early as I can. As you dial in exercise you will begin to get hungry, because your body needs more fuel to do that. Then with exercise draining energy to do, and to recover from - and then your body doing more work to process more food, you will being to yearn for good sleep and it will come easier.

Collectively these things will make you physically and mentally stronger which will make you more capable of handling your stress. Then just dial in a little more food at a time until you're at your desired weight.

There are some genetic outliers, who can treat their body like crap and still be very effective at work, but the VAST majority of people have to put their body first in order to be their best at work. So, if you think sacrificing on the things I listed above is giving you more time to devote to work you're just fooling yourself. Maybe you're putting more hours in but you're doing so with one hand tied behind your back.

Carve back some of that time to take care of yourself and the effectiveness of the time you do work will increase to more than compensate for the time you spend doing these things. GUARANTEED.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

Liquid calories are your friend. I've been in a funk and lost a little over 15 pounds in just August. When I'm stressed and/or depressed, solid food makes me literally sick to eat. Protein shakes and lattes have been my friend so far and I've been able to at least slow the weight loss down. Whatever caloric drink you like, have that as much as you can tolerate and hopefully things will ease up and you can work more solid food into your diet.
