Exercise is great. It improves our fitness.
Eating clean? Washing produce is a decent idea, but it doesn't affect the caloric content.
Eating healthy? I can eat enough healthy food to gain weight.
The trick is the balance; eat fewer calories than you expend if you want to lose fat.

Revising! I bought a new BIA scale that member @Walela617 uses and it measures body composition--not just weight but fat, water, muscle mass bmi, etc. After verifying the scale was accurate, I am sadly having to revise my start weight and goals. My scale was 2 + pounds off. I am also switching to Saturday reporting from now on as well.

September 20: 195 Well no movement. I have been dealing with some stressors so this is actually a good thing because I am an emotional eater. I have some lab work coming up on Tuesday. Those are always revealing.

Happy last day of Summer!
I have not yet "course-corrected" for last week and the week before, but I haven't given up and I hope to do better for the last days in September.
I will report again on Wednesday, September 24th and again on October 1st.

09/14 -- 186.2 โ (Trend Weight: 184.9) Bowling with the three littlest littles yesterday was lots of fun but two out of three of them actually beat my scores (the pre-school 4 yr old and the first grader). I used to be a pretty good bowler in my younger days! Lunch out was a Chinese buffet (Foodie DDโs choice). Within the hour of the buffet lunch (she ate a LOT), she ordered Two Large Pizzaโs at the bowling alley! Unbelievable! It canโt be food insecurity, I promise she had a normal eating life growing up. I avoided the pizza and was done with food for the day after the buffet. Weight is up 2.2 today from yesterday and 4.4 for the week. The overnight 2.2 is pretty typical for me after any restaurant meals of any kind. I traveled for two days and an overnight during this past week with an incredible amount of sitting (4 hours each way) and 2 days of all restaurant food and hotel snacks. I still need to work that off. Hopefully I can stay home for a few days and get back to routine. I did shop while away and pick up more of my plan foods. I should be good to go. I started Sept pretty low but I donโt think itโs too late to still make it a nice healthy month. Enjoy your Sunday!
๐๐๐๐ 09/21-184.4 โ (Trend Weight: 184.9) Iโve been up and down all week which is evidenced by my trend weight being the same as last week even with my weight being lower now. Iโm glad I was at least able to rein in the scale and get it below the last reading. Just slightly over a week left in September and I would be lucky to even get my numbers back to my starting weight. Sad there will be no loss other than the ups and downs of losing the same 3 or 4 pounds over and over. The definition of insane applies here.
