It's not likely we'll be going any further south than Albuquerque on this trip. If anything changes, I'll let you know!

I can't do that with a frig here because the garage gets too cold and it a self defrosting fridge. I learn that it will not work once the temp gets below 40.

    Melanie — Happy Birthday!

    And sorry about the filly.

    Mo — I love this:

Heather posted a remark by Carl Jung about what we did as kids to make hours pass like minutes. We did flips on the front lawn. Ran through the sprinklers. I played with my dolls and did their hair. I would sing and pretend I was in a concert. Dress up with my friends and take photos with my new camera for modeling. Ride my bike to the beach and play in the water. Ride to the park, catch guppies, and paddle a boat. Go to the library and read. There was a time when summer school was a program for kids to learn extra subjects, such as first aid, woodworking, tennis, golf, and a reading program, all for free. I got signed up and I loved it. My friend and I would hang out by her pool and swim while listening to Elton John's "Harmony," and she was a fan of the Bay City Rollers. We both loved to sing. She danced a lot, too. She had rhythm, and I did not. She would joke that she was white and could dance better than I could. Cheryl was 3 years older than I.

love the flowers. I remember on our very first real vacation as a family, we drove down to LA to go to Disneyland and all the attractions there. On the way down, dad had mom pull over on the side of the road when he saw those little sunflowers. He wanted to get seeds so he could plant them at home.

John just brought me up a cup of tea and gleefully announced that Durham cricket team had just, completely unexpectedly, suffered a collapse against Yorkshire, so that Hampshire is going to stay up in the Premier league after all! No one can believe it! I'm so pleased that he and his friend will be able to watch their teams together. Men need their friends. 💝

Lisa - Like you, I've been quite worried about myself. I've had zero energy, or enthusiasm, for anything, and my stomach has been really uncomfortable and bloated. I'm sure that this wake up call is just what I needed. A horizontal lifestyle is not good for me. Today I actually cleaned the top butter shelf of the refrigerator door, which has been a sticky mess for months now. I've made a start on the oven door, but more work needed. The spiral of inactivity is horribly quick. And it showed, in myself, and in my bloodwork.

Congrats on getting that room all spiffy. Lovely!

Our favourite halloumi and spinach curry for dinner. No rice for me.

John is meeting up with his younger daughter at the station tomorrow and they are going to walk to the Marina for Sunday roast lunch. Around an hour. I will have the house to myself for the afternoon. 😆 Lovely for him, and nice for me. I can't walk that far easily, and lunch wouldn't be until 1.30. Far too late for this early eater. I already know what I am going to eat! 😋 Then we can just have scrambled eggs for tea.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx
