🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 310 (my 240th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

9/27 142.6 – (trend 142.6) No structured walking; visited National Trust property - Coughton Court before it passes back into control of the family. Pleased with the round once we returned from holiday, just a pound to lose before I’m back to pre-holiday weight.

9/29 173.0 Not the worst number for a Monday. DH brought home take out Chinese food yesterday from a place that is just not very good. It is close by though. I did eat some, it wasn’t hard for me to stop. If I’m going off the deep end of calories and sodium I’d rather actually like the food.
Monday morning reset. I need exercise and salad. And some time to myself. DH was off from last Tues-Sunday. I love him dearly but I also love some time alone each day. He would be with me 24/7 with absolutely no problem!

09/28-183.4 ✅ (Trend Weight – 184.2) A small drop today which seems to be a miracle because I know what I ate last night and what time I ate it. It was ridiculous! I’m so glad I got my lazy *kitten* on that exercise bike when I just didn’t feel like it. I’m sure that helped. I also raked leaves and burned for 3 hours just trying to keep up. So the extra calorie burn apparently paid off.

I am currently following the WW program, but I love the community feature of MFP so I've been around for a while. You can't beat the workshops at WW though, so I've been a member for over a year now. Slow and steady loser which works for me. Had a big gain over the summer which I am working on right now. 11 pounds away from onederland which is my first goal :)
Goals:
Honest tracking daily, stay within points, 80oz of water daily, pool 5x/week, walk 1 hour a day, gratitude journal, plan my week/goals and schedule in my activity for the week every weekend, update MFP and weight spreadsheet daily

9/29 211 (happy I stayed the same here as we had pizza for lunch and then I made homemade ramen for dinner. It had a lot of soy sauce so I'm surprised I didn't see a gain with all the salt. It was absolutely divine though, first time making ramen and it is now a staple!! Hubby loved it too! I even did seasoned eggs which were really special. I love cooking. :) )

@fermatamb7212 how cool you have so many scouts in your family! We'll probably all start participating when my youngest turns 5 in February! I'm hoping future campouts go a little more smoothly, though my friend who was involved last year said they got snowed on in April, which is NOT typical for our area.

9/28 - 131.6 🏃🏻♀️Have to work harder this round and act like I’m actually trying to get healthier. Yesterday I co-hosted a baby shower for a friend and of course overindulged, but it could have been worse. I made good choices for lunch at least to offset some of the damage. DH and DSs had an adventure last night. They were at a scout campout when there was storming and heavy rain. There was a flash flood warning and they all packed up in the dark and rain. Thankfully everyone was safe and home around 9!
9/29 - 132.4 🏃🏻♀️🚫 Not pleased with this number. Today is going to have to be a tracking day for me, as closely as I can anyway. DH is doing the cooking tonight and I’m not off to the best start, but hopefully I can right the ship.

9/28- DNW - TRAVEL9/29- DNW - I was so out of it this morning. We did 14 hours of driving on Friday, 14 hours home yesterday (Sunday). I had work this morning but I was letting myself sleep as long as possible since I didn't get much sleep over the weekend and skipped a weigh in when the pup woke me up before my alarm to potty (fell back asleep on the couch after). Goal today is simply to drink water (very very behind on that - I'm so dehydrated) and hit step goal (also very far behind on).6 -

I don't know what's going on with my weight right now. It's steadily climbing, though I don't know why. 10 days to focus. 10 days to get it under control.
9/28: 148.2. I did a long run in the morning, followed by a lazy rest of the day.
9/29: 148.7. I had a couple of cupcakes for my birthday yesterday, but otherwise food wasn't too bad. I went for a walk at night to reach my step goal.

9/30 - 212 - Was such a rainy day here yesterday which made it really hard to find any motivation to do anything. I LOVE the sun and I am not ready for winter yet, lol! I didn't get my workout in yesterday as planned but I did get really close to eating on plan. My daughter has a band performance at the football game so that means as soon as I get home from work, I will have to pack sandwiches and head out for the game. Won't be back home until 9pm so no workout today. I may try to squeeze in a quick walk today at lunch. Goal is to not overeat today, especially since I have to pack food to eat outside at a football game. 😁

5'3, 37 years old. SAHM to 4 year old twins with disabilities.
I don't know what's going on with my weight right now. It's steadily climbing, though I don't know why. 10 days to focus. 10 days to get it under control.
9/28: 148.2. I did a long run in the morning, followed by a lazy rest of the day.
9/29: 148.7. I had a couple of cupcakes for my birthday yesterday, but otherwise food wasn't too bad. I went for a walk at night to reach my step goal.
9/30: 146.2. Food was mostly on track, went for a walk. Husband has been sick, I'm really hoping for a miracle so the boys and I don't it.

9/28 - 131.6 🏃🏻♀️Have to work harder this round and act like I’m actually trying to get healthier. Yesterday I co-hosted a baby shower for a friend and of course overindulged, but it could have been worse. I made good choices for lunch at least to offset some of the damage. DH and DSs had an adventure last night. They were at a scout campout when there was storming and heavy rain. There was a flash flood warning and they all packed up in the dark and rain. Thankfully everyone was safe and home around 9!
9/29 - 132.4 🏃🏻♀️🚫 Not pleased with this number. Today is going to have to be a tracking day for me, as closely as I can anyway. DH is doing the cooking tonight and I’m not off to the best start, but hopefully I can right the ship.
9/30 - 129.6 🏃🏻♀️🚫📝 Very happy about this! Apparently there’s something to drinking all that water we’re supposed to consume. Really moved things through the system. I also tracked for the first time in a while, and though I went over, knowing I was going to track it stopped me from being too excessive. The only issue I had is that I drank my water too late (or at least it unlocked my retained water too late) and I had to pee twice in the night. Will try to get it in earlier today. I’m off today and both kids are in school for the morning. Going to start by walking the dogs and figuring out with chores I’m going to do. Once I figure that out and lift weights it will be time to pick up the 4yo!

9/30 Was sleepy all day yesterday. Two hour nap. Ate dinner late & no TMI x2. I never really woke up to my energetic self … I certainly tried! Will begin weighing & measuring my portions again. New day! #HSF #MindBodySoul
