Missed my goal for September but hit+! my Physio's suggested revised goal for me of 75 miles.
    On to October!

I was hit with nausea again Sunday night so barely slept again. Two nights in row not a lot of fun. Pretty sure some food poisoning as no other symptoms of flu/cold. The nausea at least felt reduced enough by Mon morning but unfortunately my nerve pain was severe & I also was so darn tired from lack of sleep, that I thinking to make it a rest day. I was reminded of one my sister's birthday questions to me, 'Which part of your body is *kitten* up?'

After coffee & a bit of breakfast, I talked myself out of a rest day & hopped on the stationary bike to try for 15K.
Nerve pain had lessened substantially after the bike ride & since I still had time, I fired up the treadmill and ran 6.1K.

One of my 'feeling like crap and going to make it a rest day', turned into a cycling & running day. Shutting brain up occasionally can be a good thing.

As a further aside → I had pushed pretty hard on the bike but noticed my bike's HRM thought I was out for a Sunday ride through the daisies. Now, while I enjoy a Sunday ride through the daisies, that's definitely not what I was doing…
Kept that HRM on & synced it up to my treadmill, while also wearing my Garmin, to compare / check it out- regardless of what I did, the bike's HRM broadcasting never went above 100.
I don't think I could run at any speed and ever keep it under that.
    Needed charging.

One of these days when some electronic gadget doesn't seem to be giving me the expected results, I'm going to first assume I'm right, it is wrong & it needs charging/calibrating/etc.…..

@SummerSkier Love the meme! 🤣 Hang in there. You did great for being sick most of the month.

    Great running @tarun_yadavA , @Teresa502 , @Scott6255 , @AlphaHowls and @WarmJellyfish .

    Congrats on a great month @username301 .

You're doing great @Mari33a . Hugs for you and your mom.

@John772016 Sorry you aren't feeling well. You killed that "rest day." 😂 "I had pushed pretty hard on the bike but noticed my bike's HRM thought I was out for a Sunday ride through the daisies. Now, while I enjoy a Sunday ride through the daisies, that's definitely not what I was doing…" Don't you just love technology. I think we should always assume we're right and the technology is wrong. 😉

@AlphaHowls So sorry about your tooth and jaw pain. That can make you feel horrible all over. I'm surprised your dentist didn't find the issue earlier. I hope you heal quickly and the other appointments go smoothly. Hugs for dealing with your mom's stuff. That is just so physically and emotionally draining.

I had some minor tummy issues this morning so I didn't really want to push it too much. After mowing mom's lawn (just a little push mowing she didn't get done while I rode the riding mower), I did a driveway wun…just enough to make an even 70 miles for the month. Avg pace was 13:38 min/mile. Avg HR was 126 with a max of 144 bpm.

    @rennerkyler

I have never had a torn meniscus, but in just listening at the chiropractor office, scar tissue makes a clicking sound.

    176.64/165 miles completed for September

I forgot to post yesterday, so I am posting two runs again.

Yesterday I ran 6 easy miles. It was a beautiful morning.  63°f at the start and 59°f at the end with a dew point of 56°.

It wasn't as cool this morning, but it was still very pleasant.  I  ran 6 miles again with 3 at half marathon pace.  That puts me at 176.64 for the month.

I saw a skunk today on my run. I didn't see any on my run yesterday, but I did see one at my sister's house. We were sitting on the porch and she had just fed her cats and this baby skunk just came right up to eat the cat food. Apparently he comes every night. He was just about 10 feet away from us.

Congratulations to all who reached their goal and to all who tried. I hope to see you all over in the October thread.  Thanks for setting it up @AlphaHowls

@rennerkyler I think that clicking sound means you need new shoes. 😎🙃 Of course as everyone here knows that is my solution to EVERYTHING we discuss. Welcome to the group. Hopefully over time the noisiness will stop and hopefully no pain.

@SummerSkier 😁 thank you I’ll use that as my excuse to buy yet another pair of shoes! And so far there’s no pain just the clicking and thank you for the warm welcome!!

I've been going to a physical therapist for a couple of months for my shoulder. They always say to me that pops in the shoulder and knee are normal and fine. So there is that, but I think @SummerSkier is right, it sounds like scar tissue through the slots in your knee.

The advise I've heard is keeping doing it right up until it hurts, and then stay there for awhile, and in time the amount you can do will increase.

It's about managing the scarring that we have, not trying to hope it goes away. (it doesn't) Welcome.

I missed it by a country mile: 20.71 miles for September. COVID among other things. I'm fully recovered, that is a win.

It was tough to keep active worrying about rebounds. I tried to use some discretion. Seems like it worked. I did a few other types of exercise that are less vigorous.

Yeah Covid is strange. @chris_in_cal But you did great! I am just watching my HR and RHR to gage recovery
