    I Iove this!

Sometimes I put too much time and energy into this eating plan I am living, but this wheel kind of puts it in perspective. Its ok to value my space and simple ways of doing things.

Yesterday I recd two wonderful things from my eldest sister. She said they were early Christmas presents. A gnome themed calendar, and a pretty gnome themed mug! So sweet of her. I love her to pieces.😁

Today is a cottage cheese, tomato bowl for lunch. Dinner is zucchini tots and chicken nuggets. Then having yogurt, large tea, sparkling grapefruit, and a protein shake for breakfast, and an iced coffee protein shake mid day.

    Be well ladies!

The reunion went well- everyone had a great time. Got done about 9-felt so much later and then dh and I went back Sunday morning to finish cleaning up. I got over 10,000 steps just setting up and running around at the reunion. Was great to see old friends. A few of the girls I haven't seen since graduation. One I didn't know was coming- she is in our class but came as the +1 for her cousin. Would have loved to visit with many of them longer- Need to keep in touch better and not wait 5 more years before the next one. The silent auction brought in almost $1000 plus not sure how much in the raffles(money all went in one spot for raffles and for the reunion cost($30 a person, $50 per couple). Food was really good- grilled tri-tip, salmon and chicken. Tons of salads. One zucchini casserole that was so good- went back for seconds. Went back for a third of the home made taquitos. Desserts were disappointing but that was ok. There was plenty of other things to enjoy.

Stayed at mom's that night- found out that the lady who was helping her with her appointments screwed up, we think on purpose, when she took mom down for her drivers license- She gave mom the papers to fill out and also turned them in for her(which mom thought about later that that was a bit odd)- she noticed this week when looking at her driver's license that it is NOT a DL but is a State ID!!! She has been driving without a valid license since the end of June. The people who live on the property will be taking her down this week to get it straightened out.

Went shopping yesterday- got some amazing deals on meat at two stores- .77 for Adele brand sausage that are usually just over $6 each at the Asian store-we went there because our friend told me they had kimchee on clearance- they were out but we got the sausage for us, my son and for the friend then the friend gave us an extra jar of the kimchee to trade- DH is happy.
Went to Grocery Outlet in Fairfield- got great deals on more meat- shaved beef for sukiyaki $5.99 a pack which I thought was a bit high for that size but dh said it was good and not like we buy it all the time plus a lot less work for me when I make it. Also got Kobe ground beef for $3lb, NY steak for $6 for two steaks. Also had meatballs for $2.50 a pack of 8 balls. Picked a bunch up for us, son and also for my friend I will be walking with later. She was thrilled- picked up 3 hamburger,3 pks of steak and 4 meatballs for her for just under $40.

Dh is out with friends today so I am working on a list of things that I need to get done. Also catching up here. Will walk with my friend tonight.

Zumba friend(the one that traded us for the kimchee) gave us a fish his brother had caught- it is a striped bass- will bake it later this evening.

Ok- time to get another chore taking off the list.

    11.73 walk/run miles

well I was able to push out 6 miles today, slow run but a run nonetheless. My hip has been hurting a bit after my runs which further solidifies my intent to make this my last 1/2. I may give myself permission to walk and run it this time. Kirby has been trying to convince me to switch and do the 10k with him. I am thinking I will still do the 1/2. By my count this will make it 10 halves which is a good number to remember.

    Hi, my friends,

I have so much to say and tell that I may need to break it up into separate parts. First of all, I was able to work my two days, but not the entire four. So, I called in sick. My eyes looked weak and red, and everyone could tell that I was not 100%. I feel like an idiot because I should have asked for pain meds for my migraines. I have been taking Excedrin Migraine, Ibuprofen, Aleve, BCs, Migra T, and a muscle relaxer. The 1000 mg of Ibuprofen with the Migra T helped a lot. The topical Plant Guru product for headache relief works in conjunction with the Deep Muscle essential oils. The sinus wash, followed by the nasal sprays, is also helpful. Showering with the headache steamer helps a great deal as well. The Mayo Clinic research indicates that frontal-to-occipital pain, especially in the back of the neck, is related to stress that can cause migraines. My job is incredibly stressful, especially with all of the bureaucracy. Exercise helps too.

Last night, I was thinking and making sure that I had done everything I needed to do. Then I remembered that I had forgotten to chart my IV assessment. I had assessed it, but I forgot to chart it. So, I went to work that evening after I went to Kroger. I left Rose at home and told her that I was going to work.

My friend said that Rose will think I lied when she sees my Kroger bag. After I finished charting, I sent an email to my boss about why I was clocked in. I told her she didn't have to pay me. I was finishing up when my orientee notified me that her patient's IV was infiltrated. So, I wrote an 'I care' letter and documented the site, advising the doctors, who didn't want to come and see it. Finally, Plastics came and assessed the patient, saying it was not bad at all. Then I had a meeting that morning and went home. This was all a blessing, because I was checking my email and learned that I had been offered a position in the Center for Medically Fragile Children, even though I am leaving soon. I had until 10/08/2025 to accept. So I accepted the position. I can do this until I move. I told them the situation, and they still want me. Okay, that is it for me today. I will tell you about something else soon.

Carla, I would love a card. I don't know how to dm you. My B-day is 10/18.

Beth, you are correct. Headaches are one of the symptoms of COVID. When I had Covid, it was after a long work stretch. I remember feeling like a Mack Truck had hit me. DH moved out of the bedroom and never got Covid. DS could not stay out of my room, so he got it. He had a terrible headache. I hope you and DH feel better soon.

Melanie, milking sounds pretty dangerous. I always thought cows were so cute. Your horses are beautiful.

Allie, I didn't know that Delia was walking. Boy, does time fly.

Carol, I hope your DH's labs are showing improvement so that he can go home.

Annie, I would get so frustrated because my mom didn't want a bath. It was a pain to bathe her. The nursing staff is also having a hard time.

Lisa, I look forward to seeing what you create.

Rebecca, did your sister turn 70? Does she feel lonely without her animals?

Michelle, maybe you should consider applying to work part-time at the ceramics studio. You are organized, and that is what they need.

Well, good night, everyone. I am so sleepy now. Talk to you tomorrow. My eyes are hurting from the computer glaring at me.

    XO,

    Mo in Mississippi

went to Hobby Lobby yesterday- picked up some McCalls patterns- didn't have a lot to pick from but that is ok. Need to actually use them now. Regular prices on patterns are crazy- a lady pulled a Simplicty pattern out that her granddaughter liked- $24.95!!! She put it back and started looking at the McCalls patterns. 99cents each because they are closing them out.

had a great walk with my friend- we did 3 1/2 miles. She brings her big choc. lab with us. Nani is such a well behaved dog- not like all the little yappy ones that were there tonight. Between them and all the kids(they do soccer practices there at that park- 6 or so teams practicing at the same time) so it was crowded-almost no parking spots. It did clear out around dark. Lights aren't timed right yet, most lights didn't come on until we were starting our last lap. Hard to see people when it is that dark.
She works from home so is happy to get out and walk. She is also back at Zumba with me. She is the one that got me going. I stuck with it all these years. She missed the last 5 or so years.

I can’t believe that my time here is almost up. I go home on Thursday.
I am taking my MIL with me.
It’s a long story for another day.
Tomorrow I’m going to see my Mom, hopefully she is back at the manor and not in the hospital.
It’s been an eventful day and I’m quite tired.

I only took a couple of pictures today.
