It was definitely cold today. It was 36°F. It wasn't as windy though so the hardest part really was just getting out the door. My plan called for a 60 minute tempo run. It was supposed to be 5.3 miles, but I started out fast (it was cold) and I ended up with 5.7 miles. Normally, I would have run extra to get to 6, but I was trying to stick to the planned run.
Hope the knee isn't serious @SummerSkier.

Happy Halloween! I did a short 2.53 mile run this morning finishing out the month with 94.14 miles (goal was 90 miles), 17.41 intentional walking miles and completed 5 strength workouts. Really need to make time for more strength workouts. When I ran in Aruba earlier in the week the temperature was 91F. This morning it was 41F. What a difference!
@quilteryoyo - I used to work with an attorney who loved going to Riverfront for a working lunch every opportunity we had. He has since retired and I haven't been there in a while. Unfortunately, they recently received a not-so-good rating from the health department for, among other things, having a live monkey in the kitchen! A subsequent visit from the health department resulted in a better rating but i fear they have probably lost a lot of business from the locals.

@Teresa502 Great running and congrats on reaching your goal. Oh wow! about the Riverfront! The dining area looked really clean and nice and the food was good. I was really looking forward to going back, but now, I'm not so sure. Yikes.

Great running everyone! I finished out the month with 169.88 miles. If I had realized that I would have tacked on an additional 0.12 miles. My plan today called for a 7.5 mile interval run. I didn't have enough time to run that far so I was just going to cut a few of the repeats but whennI tried to edit the workout in Garmin it messed it up and now my interval run is 18 miles. So I just ran a 5 mile Fartlek run.
We had our costume contest at work today. They posted the pictures on the hospital's Facebook page, and whoever gets the most reactions by Monday will be the winner.
I am a Toxic Mushroom. The pictures my daughter took were more fun than the pictures they took at work.

Posting the last two walks for the month.
Yesterday, I slept a little bit too late for a run before work, so decided to just walk a mile on the treadmill since I was playing tennis after work.
Today, I didn't work and had plenty of time, but just couldn't get myself motivated to run. I decided that since I was going to be woefully short on my monthly goal anyway, that I'd conserve energy and just walk one mile in order to get a round number total for the month. I'll try to regroup and remotivate myself for next month.
I did add it up, and, in addition to the walking and running I spent a little over 10 hours playing tennis. A couple of the matches were indoors, so the mileage didn't track well, but got at least 6 miles doing that.

Yesterday I ran 3.50M at 13:39 out at the nice wooded path nearby.
For the month 36.7M total from a 35M goal.

@kgirlhart looking forward to your race report. I hope the weather is 10 of 10. Nice costume! Some of the ones at work yesterday were just amazing. I like the one that my report had. She is pregnant and had a skeleton with a baby skeleton on her tummy.
I finished the month with exactly 110 miles running and 32 walking so quite happy with that altho my mental state and eating was not a great story for whatever reasons who knows. I plan to turn that around to more stead state this month.
