Zero fibre in avocado???
Hi, according to everything I have read, a 1/4 of an avocado has 3.4gm of fibre. When I include this item in my daily intake, the column shows zero fibre. I think it would be good to adjust your "0" fibre when avocado is included. Fibre is an importance part of the daily diet so giving a zero for avocado isn't helping. Thanks

The database is largely user added, and it looks like the entry you picked, someone didn't include the fiber. There's no point asking for change in here, this is just the community section for other users just like you, no one with the power to change it. You can report the food as wrong from the adding page.

What Alatarial said. Also, there's almost certainly an accurate entry in the database for avocados.
If you used a bar code search to get this incorrect one, search by typing in instead, then look at them before you pick one.
There are several that look reasonable. Personally, I'd probably use this one:
Oddly, foods with a default quantity of 1 cup (but other types of measurements in the drop-down) are often good ones. If you use one of these but choose a weight from the drop-down, it will stay in your recent/frequent foods with your choice of measures as the default for you. I'd be picking "1 gram" from the list shown, and entering the weight of my avocado.

You don't need fiber. Fiber may block nutrients.

Uh what? Cite your sources for that claim please!

Look up Dr. Ken Berry, "Do you need fiber in your diet?" There is no minimum or maximum recommended.

A doctor is not a cite. Research studies are a cite.
"There is no minimum or maximum recommended"? By Dr. Berry, maybe there isn't.
By "Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2021-2025", from USDA and US HHS, there is definitely a goal:
That's from Appendix 1 of about as official a source as a person in the US is going to get. The UK, Australia, Canada, EU and others' health authorities have similar recommendations.
If you personally choose an eating style that doesn't priortize fiber, go you, sincerely.
But telling people there's no recommendation? Nah.

I prefer to get my data from science publications. For instance:
Now, there are proponents of the high protein and low fibre diets on here - and whilst I don’t always agree with their view, I respect them and the amount of sources they provide. Which includes medical studies. One quack isn’t that. Please don’t give definitive advice which might cause harm.
