LOUD Intrusive Ads

I did not renew my premium membership, so am now receiving ads for the first time in several years. Not a problem. But……

In the past week or two, the ads have included very LOUD ads, with rap, screeching female voices, cash register, casino slot machine, or gaming sound effects.

There is no none, zero, nada- relation between the innocuous ads in my scroll versus the LOUD ads that are coming on.

They take over my phone

There’s no way to shut these down quickly short of swiping to shut the entire app down as quickly as possible. One came on while I was in the library, of all places.

When I say loud, I mean shockingly full volume loud, regardless of what my phone volume is set at.

Am I missing something? Where do I find these in my feed to shut them down, or is there some way to block these hideously intrusive ads?

I volunteer in a quiet space, and a couple came on while I was at my desk there, too. They’re such an unexpected shock to the system it takes a minute to react and figure out where they’re coming from.

I also don’t understand the point at all. I hear them ever so loud and clear but there’s nothing on the screen to indicate who the ad is even for.

I don't think that's intended. You can report bad ads to our support team, we're pretty good at removing them when we're informed they exist. If possible grab a screenshot of them so we can more easily identify and flag.

Doesn't help your situation, @springlering62 , but I've had the free version for forever, and never had this issue.

Even if I were to take a screen shot, it takes up the whole screen so there’s no way to relate it to MFP. But it only happens when MFP is open to the diary.

That's not a problem. Best thing you can do is report whatever you can find to support next time it happens.
