I need a good inexpensive scale

My scale is dying. I get 5 different readings if I stand on it 5 times in a row. Ranging anywhere in a 10lb range! So I plan to get a new scale this weekend. I need a good one, but I really don't have much money to spend and can't spend more than $30 and even that is pushing it. So any ideas? And it can't be one of those single person ones either because my husband is also losing weight right now and needs to use it.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I just bought one at Walmart for less than 30....Health o Meter...it records weights for several different people....gives you BMI.....and other such functions that are too complicated for me to use.....I like it a lot...there are several different models..some cheaper, some more expensive....mine was in the middle range......

I got a cheaper one at Target not too long ago. I think it was 20 or 24 maybe. I think it is a Taylor. You dont tap and then get on, you just get on it. Seems to work okay so far. I hate it when a scale dies! Argg. Good luck in your search!

Taylor Lithium. It's accurate up to 400 lbs and very reasonable priced.

I bought a digital "Biggest Loser" scale from Walmart for pretty cheap, and it works fantastic.

Walmart spring scale $10. It reads consistently and accurately.
Goodwill or other recycle stores - $1
Your old scale may not read consistently because the bearings are a bit rusted or if digital the battery is weak or the chip is aging.
  • Target has a bunch of scales on sale. I just bought a Taylor on sale for $15 (regularly like $30 or $45)

    Hope this helps!

I got a Taylor digital scale for $20 at a local drugstore. Nice big display, programmable, and analyzes body fat and water too. Went to Target but couldn't find one ANYWHERE in there. :p
