If Stacy and Clinton showed up to get you.....

.....what would you do?
If by chance you're not familiar with those two, they're the hosts of the tv show What Not to Wear. Your friends and family basically nominate you because you have terrible fashion sense and you're seen in public looking a hot mess! They show up and surprise you, (after having secretly filmed you for 2 weeks) tell you you look a mess, give you $5000 to go to New York and buy a new wardrobe...AND they teach you how to dress, and style yourself for future reference.
Soooo, what would you do??

I'm a good dresser. I really am. But I have told my friends to nominate me on there. I'd LOVE $5000 worth of new clothes and shoes!!!! I'd scream and pee my pants and SHOP!!!!0

This show needs to be canceled!0

Ditto. I'd hate to blow through $5000 of clothes I wont be able to wear in a month or two.0 -

Bring it on! I feel like I know where I want to be with my style, but sometimes I get lost trying to get there.0
-
ya would love love love it......but--can I shop where the jeans are NOT 200$???? I could sure make 5K go a lot further than they can0
-
Well first, Id hide my band tee shirts and old raver jeans...theyre worth keeping even if I rarely wear em.
THEN...Id be all about it. Why not? They support alt looks for the most part and I like free money.
SO MANY SHOES0 -
I would also tell them to come back when I'm done losing weight. Funny tho, the ad banner on top of the page when I opened this post was for Stacey's fit tips and Rider's jeans!!!!!0
-
It depends...sometimes I feel it's necessary, but sometimes I think they're completely rude about it! Some people definitely should say yes, but some I have seen honestly aren't that bad. Plus, sometimes people have so much going on that the last thing they think about is their clothing.0
-
I'd use the $5000 to go buy a bunch of Sports wear..........................like I do now. Dressing up is so over rated IMO especially for work.0

^^^^THIS! I want to be able to shop where I want to shop!0 -
Secretly film me, come in my closet, show the world how "horribly" I dress, then follow me around fitting rooms while I try on clothes that I normally wouldn't pick out for myself??? Nah.0
-
I would laugh and say, "took you long enough! I have been dressing like a funeral director for years!"
I hope to add some style to my wardrobe with a shopping weekend in 2 weeks.0 -

^^^This! in reality my girls are under strict instructions that this had better NEVER happen. My husband wouldn't let them in my closet anyway.:happy:0 -
I would cry tears of joy!
I am much more interesting than how I dress. I am so effing cheap that my clothes are crap. I would LOVE to have them pay for great investment pieces :bigsmile:0 -
Please nominate me
It's clear I need it.
badly.
They'd make fun of my pants. I'm pretty tall and a size two. Things end up not fitting quite right.0 -
I've always wanted to be on this show! I have really great fashion sense (I worked as a stylist in Bev. Hills while I college), but I just want free clothes and a free makeover!0
-
No. They'd expect me to dress like a girl.0
-
I would also ask them to come back when I've reached my goal - but I would set a time limit, like 6 more months - $5000 worth in new clothes would be one helluva motivator! Then, they could have every single item from my closet (except maybe my running shoes) and I wouldn't stop them!
Tangent - does anyone remember this show when it FIRST started, before Clinton joined? There was a season, or maybe just a few episodes, with a guy that had long gray hair and wore tracksuits all the time... He was terrible, IMO, Clinton was an awesome replacement!0 -
I know I would get a lecture about not dressing in an age-appropriate way.0
-
I would be sad that they would throw out all of my Harley shirts and band tees, but I would definitely take the $5,000. Then, I would eBay a couple of nice items when I got home to buy replacement Harley shirts and band tees.0
-
I love this show! I would totally freak out, but would definitely accept new clothes and a makeover. I really liked what Nick Arojo did with peoples hair. He was a magician! The new stylist is just ok in my opinion.0
-
I'd absolutely cut them if they so much as touched my Harley boots. Other than that, I'm a fluid person, I'd roll with it.0
-
I would take the 5 grand, but then get arrested for punching Stacy in the face0

This. Seriously? I would be SO freakin' offended. I dress the way I want to dress, the way that makes me comfortable and reasonably confident. If someone came up and told me "Hi, we're here to help you dress the right way!" I would probably go postal.0
