Hey guys!
Just a little introduction because I feel like it’s going to be important to get to know everyone on here, get some and share some ideas and just generally enjoy the weight loss or get fit program that we are all involved in
A little bit about me, and my goals… My name is Julia Eppingstall, I am 20 years old, turning 21 next month. I am from Melbourne in Victoria. I work in internal sales for an Industrial Hose & Fittings company, not many females find themselves in the industry but from being here I’ve found I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
I am a singer songwriter, currently working on my first EP which I hope to have on Itunes by mid November! It’s been a really exciting process and all the people I am working with on this EP I have been friends with for years, so it’s good to keep everything close and personal to me.
I am a horserider, however my first horse passed away in 2005 and nothing has really been the same since, I found riding rewarding, not only on a personal basis (as the connection one can form with a horse I believe surpasses any connection one can form with a human being, it lacks the superficial quality, and is unconditional). But on a fitness basis too, riding for 5 hours a day and not feeling puffed, whereas I go for a run now and after half an hour I need a nap!!!
Unfortunately from a young age I have suffered from chronic eczema, from being hospitalised to being put on numerous high strength drugs, unfortunately my skin condition still lingers. It put a significant holt on any exercise regime because every time I would mildly sweat, my skin would itch like crazy and the vicious circle put me off moving altogether.
I am so happy that my sister introduced me to this program, because I feel like everything is so much more achievable, instead of losing faith in what I’m doing (hoping I’m doing the right thing but not getting instant gratification) I can track what I am doing, track what I’m eating, track my exercise needs and SEE that I am clearly living better. I used to drink 2 cans of mother per day, and it pepped me up, I didn’t even realise until using MyFitnessPal that I was only getting 5% of my daily Iron needs!!!!!!!!!
My goal is to lose 3-5kg before my 21st birthday in late november. I used to be 60, i went up to 80 (good old boyfriends and getting WAY to comfortable and WAY to lazy) now I want to get down to 75 or 70 within the next month or so, and I'd be comfortable on a longterm scale to sit at 65-70 ensuring thats a fit and healthy weight!
Anyway my spiel has been ridiculously longwinded and everyone now knows my life story…. But I’d love to hear from all of you, meet you, I’m relatively new to this entire calorie counting thing so I may ask some stupid questions but as with everything we’ve all had to start somewhere!!
