My half marathon is October 15 and I would like a special treat to celebrate. Any suggestions?

When I finished my half Marathon, I could think of nothing else but chicken pad thai. I know it doesn't seem like much of a treat but holy Moses...best...meal....ever....

I grab chocolate milk as soon as I cross the finish line!

After my half marathon on Sunday I had a spinach/feta omelet!

But my ultimate treat....I always always have a cupcake after a race.

After a 5K a trip to Cracker Barrel for the stuff I don't usually eat! I'll let you know after my 10K next month and my 1/2 in December what I do differently!

That's my birthday, so I suggest CAKE!

I usually do my long training runs on a Saturday so after those I eat pretty much whatever I want for dinner.

I had a full body massage 2 days after my 1/2...

After the race, I had a protein brownie, tonnnns of water, and my partner took me for Vietnamese for dinner. I say do/have whatever makes you happy!

Eat some of those calories back, but reward yourself with non food items

I enjoyed two pieces of pizza, a greek salad and a beer after mine, and I did not feel guilty....

If you are looking for a personal reward- I'd say a new pair of running shoes - if you've been eyeing them, a massage, a chiropractic adjustment (think I'm going to go in for one).....

My favorite post-race food (after I rehydrate) is a bagel loaded with cream cheese, coffee and a banana. Right after that I am craving a beer, pizza or whatever other fatty food I can get my hands on!

My reward for achieving a new PR in the 10K I ran back in June was new running shoes and a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings.

I've got a 10k coming up this Saturday and plan on treating myself by being lazy for the rest of the day. They treat us with food so I think I'll be all set there - although I may go get an ice cream since it's going to be nice out.

Beer, which I wash down with a little beer.

After the Disney Wine & Dine I made an exception and had wine instead.

The 5k I'm doing is called the "Chocolate Chase" and is part of a chocolate festival. I get a chocolate favor and refreshments after
