Welcome! Stick with the calorie plan your given. Track everything. It sounds like a pain but it works. Good luck to you!
  • It's purely simple and it takes time and patience. If you can do this, you can reach all your goals and find your true potential. First, plan how much weight you wish to lose. Make realistic goals and stick to them. To motivate yourself more, make them into small goals. For example, I want to lose 10 pounds in the next 7 weeks.

Secondly, after you have jotted down your goals, you have to plan on how to reach those goals. Now nutrition, you have to know how many calories you will ingest/consume in order to lose some weight to reach your goals. I eat 1400 calories daily. That is the maximum a person my height can eat. This all the amount of energy I need to lose weight. It might be different for you. I'm not tall, I'm barely 5' 3”, and this is the perfect amount of calories for ME. We are all different, remember that. The amount of calories that work for me, won't necessarily work for you. Make sure that when you plan your meals ahead of time and that you are including fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins - meats, fish, legumes, etc. Another thing that you must remember is to drink plenty of water - about 64-100 oz of water! Water is an essential part of losing weight and keeping your inner and outer body in tiptop conditions!

And now the fun part, exercise! Yes, you may lose some water-weight just consuming a small amount of calories a day, for a certain period of time, but this isn't healthy. You want to make changes to your life. You want to become stronger and fit. What you are doing isn't a diet, but a lifetime commitment of living healthier and what best way to do this by exercising and having a balanced eating regimen, right?

When you start exercising, try doing it slowly at first, and gently add more time, until you feel that you are capable of working out for longer periods of time. An example of exercising is walking your dog for 30 minutes or more. Slowly is the key. Don't rush yourself. I know we live in a society that wants to do everything fast. Take your time in listening to your body. Some exercises that work for me won't necessarily do the job for you. That is why; when exercising do stuff that you actually enjoy and won't get easily bored.

I would recommend doing exercises 3-4 times a week at the beginning and slowly add more days. Remember to always keep one day of resting. The body needs time to heal and relax from all the activities you will submitting it to. Always love yourself and keep in mind that you deserve to be healthy. We only have one life to live and it's very precious! Enjoy!

Write everything down. EVERYTHING be honest with yourself. Stick with it and don't give up if you slide back.... moving forward is the only option! Good luck!
