Morning, pebbles.
Today is my early day for teaching.
So, the schedule of intention is:
Teach, work for two hours on my project, Bikram. and mixed in with all of that: hydrate, vits, eat a lunch I packed and hydrate some more. I'm suffering the effects of too much sodium over the past few days. . .bloatedy-bloat bloat bloat. Oof.
Take care of yourselves.:flowerforyou:

Hola!
A usual hectic day. But definitely getting the gym in. Might get it twice because hubby wants to go and needs a little push.
My goals for this week is:
Seriously only take one serving size of my food. If I find that I'm hungry 30 minutes later, THEN take the second serving size. If it's in front of me, I eat it, whether I'm hungry or not.
Keep drinking my water.
Won't get as much exercise in, so really need to concentrate on keeping my calories within goal.
Hope everyone's week starts off well. Have a great day!0 -
Good morning, all. I thought I got to bed on time but I am still sleepy. We did a lot of home improvement work this weekend. Paint stripping really sucks my will to live. I did pretty well last week on all my goals, although I should still probably work on the bed time and water on the weekends. I thought I posted last night, but I must have forgotten. I'm glad some of the new folks stuck with us through week 1!
I did my strength training this morning. I plan to head to the gym after work for aerobics class, and then come home and strip paint some more. I should be able to get a walk in after lunch as well.Seriously only take one serving size of my food. If I find that I'm hungry 30 minutes later, THEN take the second serving size. If it's in front of me, I eat it, whether I'm hungry or not.
I resemble this remark big time. I have not been doing as well with my eating since coming back - I didn't use to be as hungry, but lately I have been. I don't want to start logging my calories again because I find it so tedious, but I need to figure out a better way to eat less when I get 'snacky'.
Happy flappy workouts!0 -
Good morning Pebbs!
V, I hear ya! I had too much sodium this weekend too.
Iftcheiaf, I also eat what is in front of me, whether I am hungry or not. Yesterday was a cheat day for me, and I did cheat! Maybe if I hadn't eaten so much at lunch yesterday my tummy would not have been upset last night. Or I got Alex's bug. :grumble:
CP, I find I am still sleepy even if I get to bed on time. I blame mine on not having a thyroid anymore but maybe some of us are just like that. You were outside paint stripping right? I was SO sleepy yesterday after having hiked on Saturday, so it probably has to do with being outside a lot. ?
Goals for today:
drink my water
take my vitamin (I forget because I can't take it within 4 hours of my thryroid meds which I take in the morning)
Shred
push ups
sit ups
clean up the house
spend time with Alex
cut Alex's hair
The last goal is just that: a goal. I'll have to see if I can get him to sit still! Kung Fu Panda to the rescue!
You all have a good day! I'll check back in later!

I'M back! (yet this morning I'm feeling like I don't want to be)
I've come to the conclusion that it's just mental that I am sore and achy all over when I think about working out! I'm going to wear my gym close to class since the gym is 2 sec from my class and it will keep me from coming home and getting stuck to the couch :laugh:0 -
Good morning everyone!! It's a new week and I'm hoping the beautifulness that is outside my window will hold.
Today I plan on:
Drinking all my water.
Staying within calorie range.
Getting to the gym for at least 30 min. or taking a walk outside.
Actually studying for once in my life ... it's becoming a necessity. lol.
Hope everyone has a good day!

So total for last week was 17 yoga classes in 7 days. Went to a good class last night - they guy who taught it was friendly and had the right vibe. So now, I've found teachers I like on: Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat, & Sun. - though it would cost too much to go 5 days a week, as much as I would want to.
I'm off to Fort Worth today, so I may not be posting for a while - I'm not sure what kind of internet access I will have. I'm going to try to get as much elliptical in as possible, since my big bike ride is this Sat. So my goals for the next few days are:
Mon - gym - elliptical? - getting ready for ride - do some yoga on my own if the hotel has a space for it (place off the carpet)
Tues - hotel gym - whatever they have
Wed - yoga class in Dallas and some gym
Thurs - might try the spin followed by yoga class - that's right V, someone created a class for us - it's 30 min of spin and 75 min of flow - ouch!
Fri - day off, yikes! Maybe light yoga
Sat - 42 mile bike ride - yeah!
Bike ride Boogaloo - yoga class yahoo,

Haircut done! He's pretty good about sitting still.
Now on to push ups and sit ups. Just not feeling it today. Kind of dragging.

Hi,
Mary enjoy your trip, glad the cut went well MM
Goals for Monday:
1) Stay in cals: 70 over...not bad
2) Drink more water: 5 cups today which may not seem great but its better then the one or two I've
been having the last 9 months
3) Exersise three days: 30 minute biking today
4) Eat Healthier: I said no to Pastry at work meeting today::noway: :noway: :noway:
I did well today: Now it is still early and I may have a craving in a couple hours I will try to say no but there is a chance I may go over a bit more in cals with a 100 cal snack pack.
Talk later,

I'm amazed at all that yoga. Have fun in Fort Worth, Mary. Say hi to my aunt and uncle.
Did I ever mention that when I was growing up, my brother and I thought the name of the city was "Foot Worth" because of my mom's accent? The abbreviation ("Ft.") even worked...
I made to aerobics, and burned 400 calories (woo-hoo!), but forgot about about my pushups and had a beer when I got home. Whoops. So we'll see if I get through my sets. :blushing:0 -
OK, confession time.
I didn't make it to yoga today. I fell asleep on the subway going to teach (the nice conductor actually woke me up at the last stop. . .pretty embarrassing.) , on the bus on the ride home from teaching and then immediately on the sofa. Either I'm starting a fibro flare-up, or this virus is making it's last hurrah. I actually slept right through yoga, and now that I'm awake. . .I'm ready for bed. Also, outside of forty minutes hunting down library books (and then lugging all twenty of them home, along with my teaching materials.) I didn't get any work done today.
If I'm still this fatigued in a few days, I'm going back to the doc. Last time this happened, my iron levels were all out of whack. . .so I may need my iron adjusted.:grumble:0 -
Vivia - it sounds you really needed your rest. That's not a confession, just a fact. :flowerforyou:
I made it through my pushups. Yay! Oh, and MM - we are actually stripping paint inside the house. But I think that sort of labor is tiring even inside. And mentally - I just want it to be done. The place was built in 1918 and has some fabulous woodwork... it's just that the previous owners went and painted most of it ugly. :ohwell:0
