LADIES: Whatdoes extreme weight loss do to"the girls"?

Help me debunk this. My friend keeps telling me that if I keep losing weight , "the girls" will disappear, deteriorate, become distorted, etc etc etc .... I mean maybe in extreme weight loss cases, but what about with average weight loss, say15-20 lbs?
Anyone gone through this personally?

Ive lost 75 lbs and the girls are smaller. They were only 'bigger' because I was bigger. Ive never been a 'normal' weight, so I dont know what they would have been like to start with.0

Before i gained all my weight i was an A cup... I am now a C cup the first that goes for me are the girls... It just depends on the person... my cousin has DDD and hers stay and her little butt becomes nonexistant0
-
as i get smaller so do they...0
-
That is usually the first place I lose weight. I miss them when they were cute lil fried eggs LOL0
-
They also tend to go a bit south with weight loss. (I love that fact that I lose all my weight FIRST in that area. *Bitter*)0
-
LOL! ah don't you guys just wish they would stay and everything elsewould shrink ? haha0
-
wow really, so they do go south! Hm, any way to avoid that u think? like chest exercises ?0
-
Mine have not been shrinking, but the band size is getting smaller.... so I'm going to end up wearing like a 36F. I would kind of rather they did shrink though!0
-
Would weight lifting help put some muscle behind them and therefore help retain some size?0
-
I've lost about 15lbs and mine have stayed the same, if not gotten a little bigger. Bra size has changed. Went from a 32D/34C to now a 32DD/34D...0
-
My cupsize has gone up as my bandsize gone down. I was a 42 DD then went down to a 40 F/G...0
-
Okay for extreme weight loss you'll most likely have to buy more bras. Yes, they will go down in size. But for average weight loss like you're talking about? Yeah they don't change much if any. Maybe you'll have to hook your bra clasp a little tighter, but that's about it (presuming it's not on the tightest hook already).0

I have been 215lb to 129lb. i go down 2 cup sizes. belly disappeared completely and my butt disappears too if i lose too much weight. It depends on your body and where you carry the weight. I carry it in the butt and legs.0

The girls definitely get smaller. I've gone from DD to just plain D, and in somecases, I can even wear a C cup (especially if I want to show really voluptuous cleavage!!!) Hoping they don't get any smaller though...I waited a long tome to have cleavage!!!0

I know of one exercise designed to help firm up your chest. you hold your arms straight out in front of you at shoulder width, act like you are clapping your hands together without actually letting them touch. I've seen people do this with barbells in their hands too.0
-
I've lost 65lbs and my boobies actually look bigger now As for cup size- I am the same cup size. I was hoping I would lose them a bit. I think everyone is different.0
-
Mine have gotten smaller, yes, but as a plus they are actually more even than they used to be.0
-
Well, boobs are mostly fat. So when you lose enough fat, guess that means you start to lose the boobs. I never, ever saw mine shrink until now. I'm over 40 now, and when my weight got under 170 I started to see shrinkage and gravity taking hold. Yikes!! I don't think exercises will help. You can increase the muscle under your boobs but it won't change the girls themselves. That's sad but true.0

I have gone through this. They do get smaller because they contain a portion of the fat.... but they do not detiorate or become distorted. I've never heard of that happening and wonder who would even tell you that. Also, even though they get smaller, so did the rest of your body so they are still proportionate and you will look hotter!!
Don't worry about it.0 -

like oranges at the bottom of sweat socks... :noway:
15-20 pounds was the difference between a band size for me I hardly lost any cuppage with that amount of loss. Just remember- boobs are fat. The lower your body fat percentage the smaller they'll get.

mine are very large - so I have "issues" with mine going south now!
I have gone from a 26/8 to a 20 on top half and the girls have definatly finally got smaller, hoping they will get smaller still
I have gone down from 38 to 36 band - cup size is a bit harder to judge - I used to wear a 38KK as "best fit" as that was the largest cupsize we could get - but the wires were still off the chest.
I now have a good fit on a 36J
I am sure they will sag further but I looked into a reduction 20 years ago - so I might look at that when I get to goal, but weights might help give them some support.0 -

I was a C @ my lowest weight, I'm a DD now. Mine haven't really shrunk despite losing 35lbs (half way there), but they have definitely gone a little south. I'm hoping that with chest exercises I can get them back up a little bit. I do know women who've had success with that.0 -
When I was thinner...in my 20's..I was a 32D....it went up with the weight gain..but now at 143..I am a 34C...so for me..since I had them before the weight loss...I still have them..0
-
At 27 lbs lost mine have already gone down about 5 inches...cup size is rapidly dropping. This is not the case for everyone though!0
-
I suggest you lift weights or the girls will hang low0
-
I was a 34C before I gained the weight and I'm a 36C now, maybe because of the weight lifting. I look fine in a well fitting bra and a tee shirt, but nude... well... The loose skin around my mid section and belly has already snapped back almost completely, and even my butt sags less than I expected it to. Not so the girls and not so the skin to the side of the boobs, under and around my arm pits. At my age, though, I guess I should be thankful that I look OK fully dressed.0

Like one lady said above, lift weights and it won't matter how much weight you lose - your girls will get firmer and you will get a natural boob lift!!!! =D It's awesome.
It depends on what kind of weight loss you're doing. I've done both - I had jaw surgery for my underbite four years ago and lost 40lbs in 3 weeks (couldn't eat. It sucked. Don't do it if you don't have to). During that, the girls didn't go away, but they were a lot smaller. But they were proportionate with my frame at the time.
Obviously i gained that 40lbs back, which sucked, but I've lost it again the healthy way now and over a 2 year period. I can honestly tell you that with my weight lifting and healthy eating, the girls have gotten a LITTLE smaller, but they're much firmer and look better in a bathing suit. =D0 -
Everyone's different.
The first thing I noticed was getting lopsided.
Now I've lost over 20kg they are smaller but definitley not tiny - I used to be an 18DD, now I'm wearing a 12DD but they are a bit big, I'm going to guess I should be wearing a 10D (Aussie sizes).
And they are still lopsided but not quite so much.0 -
Depends on where you usually gain/lose weight. My boobs stay consistently a 32DD whether my waist is 26 or 31 inches, and even when my hips range from 37 to 42. that seems to be my body type though, I lose and put on weight only in the tummy and hips area and my boobs and legs stay consistently the same.
The girls could stay!0
