Pick up the POO
Sorry, this may be TMI, but... Tonight for my exercise, I decided to work in my yard, raking some leaves and cleaning up. All was going well, until that moment ... We've all experienced it, when you step in doggy POO, and it's now plastered on the bottom of your shoe. You pretty much know immediately when it happens and it's always exasperating! I like dogs, but don't own one myself, so the poop didn't belong in my yard.
So, if you are a dog owner, and you take those little poochies for a walk, please remember to take along the plastic bags and pick up the POOP. I'm thankful I wasn't barefoot. There - I feel better now.

I have a dog. I love my dog more than I like some people. I ALWAYS pick up his poop. I HATE people who don't pick up their dog's poop.0

I know exactly how you feel. I have two neighbors who both have animals and NEVER clean up after them. I think I have more crap in my yard than a litter box. ewww... And even one of our neighbor's cats used to sleep in OUR garage because they would always lock him out.0

I didn't get a dog because I didn't want to pick up poo. Literally. I hate it. But I do it with my husbands dog anyway because if I don't, THAT happens. It's not fair to other people. I get furious when I step in poo.
I had an old neighbor who consistently didn't pick up their dogs poo. This was a decent sized dog too, lab sized. I collected it for about a week straight and then set it on their front porch. I never found stray poo again.0 -
That's why you have a fenced back yard. Then, you just ride the lawn mower around once a week. Poop problem solved.0

I have a friend who mows his lawn barefoot because "it's easier to clean poop off your foot than out of the treads of your shoes."
I'm diligent about picking up the poop if it's somewhere someone can step in it. However, my dog is great about pooping off trail when we hike, so then I let nature take it's course.
Although there was a few times when he managed to back his tush up against a fence and poop INTO someone else's yard. :blushing: I'm still not quite sure how he managed that, but since mean dogs who like to bark at us live in those yards, I think it was revenge.0 -
We always made sure our dogs stayed in our yard, and when we walked them always carried those little baggies with us. But it's not always careless owners. Where I live, there are a lot of strays (which I guess is still careless owners), so if we ever see doggy mines in our yard, a lot of times it's from the strays, not our neighbors LOL0

I always pick up the poo! And if I see someone trying to not pick up after their dog, I say "Oh are you out of bags? Here, I have an extra!" in my sweetest voice....to shame them.0

Agreed... but here's my two cents - one I have three dogs, and I manage. I even have a backup roll now just to be on the extra safe side Also, yesterday I saw a gentleman in a motorized wheelchair who managed to pick up the poo, so really, for the life of me, I can't see the reason why someone would not be able to manage it.0

If you had been barefoot, it would have been like a play doh fun factory gone wrong.
I so stole that from Jeff Dunham.0 -

Lately someone in our complex has been bagging the dog poo... and then just leaving it there. :grumble: So now there are bags of poo dancing in the wind out front. -sigh-0

Can I hire you to shame my neighbors? I don't have the temperment for it. I would be too tempted to put the bag over their head!!0 -
My neighbor let's their dog out of the front door every morning and it runs straight over and poops in my front yard!:mad:0

We just bought the house we are in 3 months ago. Well we noticed that everytime we left, when we came back there was poo in our front yard by the front porch steps. That was until my husbands truck had to go in the shop and I had to stay home one day so that he could use my car. Well I was sitting inside, and something told me to look outside. I did and what I saw was the next door neighbor leading her dog on a leash and leaving our yard. I didn't notice the poop until an hour later when my husband got home. Next time my neighbor took her dog for a walk my husband approached her and told her to not be walking her dog in our yard. I should explain to you at this point, that the drive leading into my yard is at lead 1 acre long, and when I saw her, she was halfway down the drive.0
