Good morning all you wonderful workout buddies! Here we are in New York, our starting point. Are you ready to do some flying? I AM!!! Let’s see how far we can get this first day, and then I’ll make some goals as to where we want to get to from there….we are heading to London,England first!
Remember each calorie you burn equals 1/4 of a mile. The more we burn, the farther we get. It is ok to take rest days, it is ok to have some days where you don’t burn as much as others. I will be posting some mini challenges along the way, some harder than others; keep checking back to the link I send you each week to see what challenges are being presented and to encourage each other as a team!
So….LET’S FLY!!!!!!

I am having a lazy day, too. But my goal is still 800 calories burned daily so let's get this started! I am pretty stoked - did not think October first would come this fast!0

So excited to start! Just got home from a 5 hour mall trip, hoping I burned a good amount
Goodluck to all! WE CAN DO THIS!0 -
Alrighty Ladies....we are on our way! Great job with take off and the first day of our journey. We burned 5,250 calories today! I am so impressed!!! A big gold star goes to Kassied09 who gave us a huge boost with 1097 calories today. Keep on burning girls, we are going to be "home" in no time
Stay tuned, mini challenges coming SOON!0 -
Alright ladies, we are off to a good start. I have decided that unless we have a remarkably wonderful day (like EVERYONE way over 500 calories) I won't be posting our daily amounts....I'll do that weekly. You can always PM me if you want to know each day. Also you can look on the map (I gave the address for it in your PM and on this thread) to see where we are.
I have a challenge for you this week! (October 3-8)
Ok, here it is. I want you to look at last week's workout calorie burns. Find the day with the lowest burn, add 200 calories and do your best to make THAT your lowest burn this week. So if your lowest day was 0, this week your lowest would be 200 and so on...get it? If you are a burning machine, you can add more than 200 for your challenge if you want. Report here at the end of the week what your successes are! I am excited to hear from each one of you!0 -
I just want to clarify that you do not need to include your rest day for this first challenge. I have had at least one person with 2 days of no calories burned, so that is why I used that example. Some of you may work out 3 days a week, some 5, whatever. Choose your lowest burn day and up it by 200. Hope that clarifies things!0

What a great day today (Oct 3). This is our biggest day so far and you guys are rocking it! It is also the first day we have outdone my other team! Excellent job!
Lee is out of town and so can't move the icons on the map yet, be watching for that come Friday.
Stay tuned for more fun and games!0 -
Hey Everyone! Just wanted to say hi to all and see how everyone is doing0

I had hoped for a little more interaction on the threads, but am happy you are all doing so well If you are interested, I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite recipes!
This week I thought we'd start with favorite smoothie, or energy drink.
I make the cottage cheese "cheesecake" recipe
Blend the following ingredients in a blender
1 cup of frozen berries
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 Tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla.
It is very yummy A friend of mine also adds her ground flax seed to it, which makes a little different texture.0 -
mmm I am going to have to try that one... I love cottage cheese..0

Have you looked at the map lately? We are in Italy right now...lovely Keep up the good work!0

I am don't make different recipes too much...just salads n cereal n lean cuisines alot of the time. Boring, i know. but getting all the ingredients for things gets costly...0
