I didn't do to well yesterday but that is okay. Today is a new day and I'm ready for it! We had a campfire last night for dinner and I had to have a roasted hot dog! But, I have all week to work that yummy food off and I did stay within my calories!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!
T- wtg on the exercise yesterday!!!0 -
Way to go on the exercise ladies:happy: I didn't work out, but stayed well under my calories for the day, and drank a ton of water. I even passed up KFC when my DH came home with it. The other bit of good news was that I was right about my 2lb gain over the weekend. I drank a bunch of water yesterday, and flushed the salt and other bad food out. I weighed in this morning, and thoes 2 lbs are gone0

Yesterday was pretty good. I stayed within my calories and did an hour at jazzercise. I just have a question. Jazzercise is basically high energy for about 45-50 mins and then the cool down. Should I show 45 mins when I log it or should I show the entire hour, even though the last few minutes is really a cool down, stretch kind of time? I don't want to allot myself too many extra calories.
I will be doing jazzercise again today and plan on staying on track with calories.
I drank all my water yesterday and that is the plan for today also.
I just feel like I am eating way too much when I eat my alloted calories.

sometimes i feel like i'm eating too mch also when you add exercise calories into the mix. i've tried to consciously leave myself 200 calories extra at the end of the day so i don't eat as much, but that hasn't been wrking at all because i know they are there! i've also thought of logging my exercise as 200 cals less than i actually burn, so that my calorie deficit is bigger. any thoughts?0 -

I think you can only do what works best for you...some here eat ALL their exercise cals, some eat only half...we are all different and our bodies all respond differently as well. It sounds too like the numbers are playing with your mind....like if you have calories left, why not eat them...right??? I would say to really learn to listen to your body, yes, keep it fueled, but if it's later in the evening and you have some cals left over, don't just eat them because they are there...
Just my opinion....0 -
I did well yesterday. Got some strength training in and 50 minutes on an incline on the treadmill. I havn't lost anything for this challenge yet, but i'm feeling good and know I will!
Nice job everyone...Keep it up!!0 -

memaw, shannah, T and Ness-way to work hard.
PSM - you can do it!!
way to go on the water tahmed
Went to the gym last night but only did the eliptical on intervals at level 10 for 30 minutes - my thighs are killing me from the household labor over the weekend. Will be going tonight for full strength and cardio - about 11/2 hours total. I haven't been able to do my full workout in 2 weeks from being sick then too busy so I am super excited to go tonight.
Combined, my hubby and I have lost 97 pounds - can't wait til we hit the 100 together...0 -
:drinker: Doing a great job ladies!!! Keep up the wonderful work!
Well, my day started off needing a SERIOUS pick me up. Was out WAY too late last night so I ended up not being prepared for meals today. :grumble: My own fault - C'est la vie. Wasn't too great a breakfast - as I needed strong coffee (but I like it with creamer and splenda) and got some grits and an egg sandwich! :noway: I guess we all have our weakness moments. I've planned out the rest of my day for food so that I can stay within my calories - looks like I'll need another great night of workouts tonight.
I think I'm at 3/17 days of workouts. Didn't we start last Friday? Or was it Thursday? Anyway, since Friday, i've worked out three days. So today will make day 4! :drinker: Had a great lower body strength day and a good 30 mins of cardio last night. I think I might try to go do a step areobics class or something tonight. Need to switch up my cardio as I sttill haven't gotten the 30 Day Shred DVD. I did, however, try the BL Power Sculpt - Level 1 and I really enjoyed it. It seemed 'easy' :noway: at first, but afterwards I could really tell that I was getting a workout!
Ok, gotta get back to work. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday! I'm finally waking up - think the coffee is kicking in full force - means time for LOTS of water! :drinker: :flowerforyou: :drinker:0 -
We started on March 18th and I am on day 4 of exercise (including today will be 4) of 170

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I stayed within my calories all day, but I got a little closer than I would've liked considering I didn't get all the exercise in that I wanted. We had a retirement party for a fellow co-worker yesterday. Of course it was at noon which is when I go do my 40 minutes of cardio (my lunch hour). I argued with myself, back and forth whether to skip out on the party (I didn't want to be rude or unsupposrtive of this 40 yr veteran of our company) or skip out on exercise and eat whatever food they had that I hadn't planned for. You see, on a normal day that is the time when I KNOW for sure that I can at least get my 40 min in so I struggled with the decision. I didn't want to tell myself "It's only one day" because that's when I get into the habit of "It's only one day" and continue to skip out.
In the end I decided to only do a half hour of cardio (snuck some weights in there too) and came back up and joined the party mid-way. I guess this is what it's all about, making sacrifices. The lunch they served wasn't too bad either: Caesar salad (only had about a 1/4 cup and avoided the croutons), Broiled lemon chicken breasts (I only had a half), green beans in vinegar and mashed potatoes (only about 2 tbsps) and I declined the cake. All-in-all I think I made very good choices, in more ways than one. I'm proud.
I've done 4 of 17 too.....and now I'm heading off to do day 5!!!!
I hope you all have a "terrific" Tuesday as Theresa would say!! I have confidence in all of us to make great decisions today. :flowerforyou:0 -

:flowerforyou: Thanks Chrissy! I couldn't remember...need to write it in on my calendar. So that makes yesterday 4 of 17. Today will be day 5! Woohoo!
Forgot to do a little bit of celebrating with you lovely ladies! :blushing: When I got dressed this morning, I put on a pair of Kahki pants which have been quite snug. UNTIL THIS MORNING - when I didn't even have to suck in to button and zip them, as they are now baggy and quite comfortable! I was VERY surprised by this and thought about you guys. :flowerforyou: Guess is is about toning and inches too! Always nice to see a bit of clothing validation even if the scale isn't moving much. Also this past weekend I was cleaning out some drawers and found two pairs of kahki material shorts from Old Navy that are size 20s (very small size 20s I might add) that I couldn't even get UP my rear, let alone button them a few months ago. Well, I got them up, on, and zipped. They're still a BIT too tight to wear out yet, but the fact that I could button and zip them (with sucking in of course! ) was quite exciting! :blushing:
Keep up the great work guys! This is my favorite thread out there!0 -
Hello all,
Good Morning,
Like most of you, I had a good day yesterday. I exercised twice But as I logged some added food from yesterday I am over calories. including exercise calories which I never even eat. but I know where I went wrong and I won't go there anymore.
I have done my 30 day shred this morning and I plan to walk and go to dance practice this evening.
I'm praying that i will not have a loopy moment like yesterday and stay away from my calorie line.
keep up the good work. ??? what day does the challenge end?0 -

hey, happy tuesday!
yesterday was 3/17, and today will be 4. can really tell i am gettin stronger here lately. i am a little frustrated tho with the scale. i have lost around 20 since Jan 19, and for the most part, been pretty faithful to mfp and logging the cals and exercise. i want to get losing again, and it just seems like i have been at this wt for almost 2 mos now. i don't want to be 5' 3 1/2", 190 lbs, size 14/16. My goal is 160, which isn't even normal wt by all the charts, but i feel i can maintain that, and that is my ultimate goal since being a yo yoer for 15 yrs....just not sure what to do.....
anyways, have a great day!!0 -
Glad to hear everyone is doing so well!
I am on day 4 of exercise, i did 40 minutes on the treadmill when I got home from work while chicken was in the oven!0
