Okay so recently ive wanted to get serious about loosing weight.
My friend told me he is doing P90X AND INSANITY- and yes at the same time, but dividing it into am and pm workouts! And he says he feels great. So i thought why not put together the two programmes i really enjoy. Do am and pm workouts. Im kinda sceptical though. What if i dont eat enough? So i figuered that i should follow mfp's calorie intake calculator and be with in 200 cals of my recommended intake. (If mfp recommends i eat 1900 cals, i shoulsnt go below 1700 etc). Time isnt an issue, as i have worked out a good schedule for myself. But then i thought what if i 'bonk'/loose a lot of energy because im doing these workouts?then i thought i could try the schedule for one week and see how i feel. Am i going right about this ? lol Is there anything else i should take into consideration? Do you guys think this is too much? For week one, the workouts are 55minutes- 1 hour 10 minutes long, to it seems manageable. ANyone has an opinion on this?

plan to eat some exercise calories - or is that what you meant by saying follow the intake calculator?
I think your plan sounds fine. Try it - the worst that can happen is you won't be able to do it every day due to being too tired/sore.0 -
I think it is do-able if you have the time. The issue for me would be getting burned out and ending up quitting. You could also try a hybrid of CLX and TF instead of doing them both at the same time. Have you completed both programs before? Or are you jumping into a heavy schedule having not worked out in a long time? If the latter, then I'd definitely try to ease into it.0

Whoa!! I would be exhausted!! Make sure to eat LOTS AND LOTS of protein to keep up with everything!0

There is a Turbo Fire / Chalean Extreme Hybrid schedule included with the Turbo Fire DVDs.
Although, the schedule doesn't have you doing a cardio and chalean extreme class on the same day0 -
Im on my way to finishing p90x in 6 weeks time, and am getting good results off my 2400cal a day target. My diet diary is unlocked so feel free to have a look0

You lose weight by eating less than you burn. Although you can increase what you burn by exercising, this is not really very useful for losing weight. It is very hard to burn calories by exercising and it is very easy to gain calories by eating (and lose calories by eating less). That means that it is simply not practical in the long run to rely on workouts to lose weight. Workouts are much more appropriate to work on overall health, such as mobility, endurance and strength.
So, in choosing your fitness program, I would suggest you try to set a fitness-related goal. Do you want to become more agile, or increase your endurance, or your strength? Then I would select a balanced workout that has that goal as a priority. You might want to do more yoga or a dance routine to get more agile, or have a cardio program to increase endurance, or do push ups for strength etc.
Just doing two excercise programs for the purpose of doing them sounds pretty useless to me. Also, I would rather do one program properly than two programs with bad form. You can always intensify a program if you want a bigger challenge, and keeping good form is always a challenge, no matter what routine and how often you have done it.0
