The first week I started using MFP I lost 4 lbs!!! I started weighing 140.4...now 136.6. Last week I burned 4040 calories by mainly exercising and eating foods within my calorie range!! I don't get it why didn't I lose. I just really want to lose 6 more lbs. I always plateau around 135!!! Any suggestions???

4 pounds is a lot for a week! I'm about the same weight as you and have been steadily losing one pound or so per week since the first of the year. 135 is my mark too and it took me a few weeks to break through it.

    Just keep at it.

I am basically in your same boat with almost the same weight and desired amount to lose. I joined on March 1st and dropped those first five pounds in the first week and basically have not lost any since. TOM came and that messed things up...and now that's over and I am sincerely hoping I lose another pound this week. I have been doing a lot of reading on here and I think we are just going to have to be patient and not give up. Losing the last 10 pounds or so just seems like it is slow, hard work. Also, I think we might have to find what works for us by way of calories and how much of excercise calories we should eat, etc. I am planning on experimenting with that over the next couple of weeks. MFP has me eating 1260 calories each day (without exercise) but I have a feeling that I might need to increase that a tad. Hope this helps and I hope your weight starts coming off (and mine too!)

Two weeks is not enough time - you have to be patient! Especially losing 4 pounds in the first week, you may see some slack in pounds but the inches should move. Keep at it.
