It is awesome if you stick to it. Drink water, count it in the app. Eat anything, scan it, add it to the app. If you account for everything you put into your body via your mouth onto the app/website, you will learn quickly what you can eat and what you can't. You'll see the calories, cholesterol, fat, protein, sugars, etc., that you are ingesting. If you can keep everything under control, you are guaranteed to loose weight. This app/site has help me to learn how/what to eat. I have also accompanied it with some other apps; for example the Restaurant Nutrition app that has all the chain restaurants menus with nutritional information. Another site I use is http://nutritiondata.self.com/ for those items that I just can't find or can't scan. From personal experience, you don't need to do exercise at the beginning. I did for about a month and I was pretty discourage how my wife wasn't yet she was loosing as much. Once you hit your plateau then start doing exercise so you don't burn yourself. I lost +40lbs just by eating better. Pick and choose the places you eat out at. Stick to foods that will fill you up yet don't have that many calories. For me, it was very important eating as little cholesterol as I could. Do to that I went from 267 points down to 152 points in the cholesterol without any pills. Also my blood pressure went from 130/90 (+/- 3) down to 120/80 (+/- 3). I am happy about the 44lbs, but I am super excited about the 115 points off my cholesterol without pills. Now I have added competitive volleyball once a week to get rid of my last 15 lbs to reach my goal.
Stick to it. Log everything. Eat your calories, but NOT your exercise calories if you do any. There are many foods that actually help burn calories; for example carrots, celery and many more.
Good luck and may the app help you on meeting your goal!0 -
