New to MFP

Hi Everyone!

I am pretty new to this! Well, I actually signed up about a month ago, but wasn't in the head space yet! I figured if I am going to commit to this website and my weight loss goal, I might as well take advantage of all that it has to offer and make my self some supportive friends on here!

I have always battled with weight issues. I was an overweight child and lost all my weight by the time I was 13. I vowed i would never allow myself to feel that uncomfortable again! Well... it happened.

My work keeps me busy and being back in school part time for the past 2 years have provided me with the perfect excuse not to exercise! Since being in school I have watched my weight climb from a healthy 140 to a very uncomfortable 160!

So, now it is time to make some changes! Time to put ME back on my own list of priorities and feel good about how I look again!

I think you are going to find that if you are looking for support and encouragement you have come to the right place :happy: I am so glad that you are able to see that you are supposed to make YOU a priority. Often times we find ourselves thinking of others because we are told that looking out for ourselves can be selfish; but the way I see it, nobody can begin to take care of others when they themselves are not well.

    I can definitely understand being so busy and overwhelmed that you just start letting things like exercising get by, but I am very glad that you are taking the initiative to get back :) I know you are going to do great and feel free to send me a friend request if you like :flowerforyou: .
