I'm in the market for a new HRM and would like your opinion on which ones you like best. I'm not looking to spend an arm and leg on one though, something reasonable. Thanks for the input!!

ive only had mine for a few days, but it seems to be working great. its the polar ft4 and i got it from amazon for $600

Well, I know this might be a bit pricey but I have the Polar FT4 HRM. It's really good! It's water resistant (can wear it in the water if you're a swimmer), shows calories burned, timer, allows for setting your heart rate zone etc. Take a look at Amazon.com. If you want something cheaper take a look at the reviews by others about whatever HRM looks appealing to you. I've looked on there from time to time and actually found one that looked pretty good and was a little more cost effective for those on a budget.0

There are so many out there but most of them will sync up with commercial gym equipment. I personally bought a Nike Triax C6 The middle of the line I think and it works out great for me. It straps around the chest and sends the reading to the watch that it came with. I spent about 90 or so. I know they have cheaper models. If you are looking to spend less I say go see a sales person at a sports store for more advise. I figured since it was monitoring my heart I wanted a good one to make sure I was getting an accurate reading.0

I have a MIO Drive - petite
It's small, cost me $55, and it works great. Plus there is no chest strap - I can't stand them.0 -
I have a Polar ft7 its a little pricey, but it works really well. Very accurate and easy to use !0

Thanks for all the input! I will check Amazon out.
Im looking for one that will take my height and weight into consideration to calculate my calories burned. Right now the one I have (cheap, bought from Kmart lol) only asks for my age and gender. And of course I have to constantly push the button to update my HR =/0 -
Consider the Polar FT40. It is more expensive than the FT4 or FT7. But I like it because it simultaneously shows time elapsed, plus either heart rate or calories burned or time of day. I find that to be really useful during my workouts.0

We got the Polar FT40 for us and the FT7 for my husband's son. Before I already used Polar and was always very satisfied. My first Polar was with me for 11 years.0

I have the New Balance N4 (with a chest strap - highly recommended!) and I bought it at Target for $60. I've been using every day now multiple times per day for the last month and it is awesome! It's also water resistant so I take it in the swimming pool for water aerobics and swimming.0
