Oh my, another good run !
I'm taking it easy after straining my knee, so through I am technically doing the C25K and ready to run today (rest day yesterday). I thought I would just do something with no proper goals/timing, just for fun.
I did 5 minutes warm up, a jog/run and a 5 minutes cool down walking. For the run bit I set a kitchen timer going and put it out of sight and just jogged/ran listening to music and reading my kindle. I only stopped to cool down as I needed to get lunch and when I looked at the timer.....I had run for 10 MINUTES !
It was slow but it was a run, I covered just over 1.1 miles in 20 minutes ! Not out of breath, no strain just fun.
I barely managed 60 seconds jog when I started a few weeks ago and today I did TEN MINUTES !
I was dreading next weeks C25K as on week four you have to run 3/5/3/5 but maybe after the rest of week three runs I'll be up to it. I think I am getting healthier.
