does salmon shrink when cooked?

i heard somewhere that salmon shrinks when cooking. is that true? (i plan to bake mine if it makes a difference)

how many ounces would be a proper serving?

    4 oz is a proper serving, and when I bake salmon it does not shrink. Nor does it shrink when I pan sear it.

    It shrinks a little, but dont worry...4 oz is a proper serving size...enjoy

    Hi it only shrinks when you over cook it, just remember it continues to cook on your plate :)

    Weigh your salmon before you cook it!

    Some salmons shrink a LOT, while others barely do.

    Most foods shrink a little when they cook. It's just water evaporating!
