This is much easier than i thought. I could not be happier. 17 pounds to go until I go skydiving!! (need to weight 225) I also down loaded some push up, sit up, squats and pull up apps that have increased my body strength. I also started running or walking three times a week depending on who's with me. I am a different person physically. At least that what my wife keeps telling me.

Thanks again to myfitnesspal for everything. You guys are awesome!

You are awesome! Way to loose the weight. My husband had the same goal with the sky diving. Good Luck - sky diving is not for me but my husband loved it!

I know what you mean about it being easier than anticipated. Mostly all you need is a little patience because as long as you stay in your goals on MFP it does work, sooner or later and it just doesn't seem that hard to workout once you get in the habit of doing it... in fact after 4 months I think if I stopped I'd really miss it now. And for plateaus, just mix up the workout. I have at least 10 different kinds of "workouts" although some are more like what a child would call "playing outside" than what an adult would call working out.

As for the skydiving - great goal - I have 4 jumps in my logbook from many years ago, and those can never be taken away from you... always a great go-to story as well, especially if you have some minor mishap like I did (landing my first jump on the wing of a small plane on the shoulder of the runway - oops) and my second jump nearly landing on the money-back target... missed it by about 2 feet (drats!) Always fun to see the look on people's faces as I got older when I say I've done things like that, hehe.

Enjoy the view coming down - back in the 80s they didn't make you jump tandem. I hear they do that now - but you can still enjoy the view and take as many jumps as you can to get to a solo jump because jumping out of that plane by yourself and being with only yourself coming down is profound and worth doing. You can hear people talking on the ground perfectly well from pretty high up, so you can talk to your friends if you want, but mostly enjoy the view and let yourself feel the air rushing by so it gets into your brain (so you can dream about it later and enjoy it for free while you sleep, LOL!)

Of course the other must (and easy now) thing these days is to video tape it for enjoying later too... I don't even have photos! Just my log book and my flight school certificate. But it's all good - great experience and story for later - YOU CAN DO IT!
