I'm currently watching the documentary Food Inc. For those of you that have seen it, what are your thoughts?

It's all about money! It almost makes me sick. I just don't know how to have a good balance in still eating meats but doing so in a humane matter.0

i watched it a while ago..
initially it made me feel horrible about the way animal products are "mass manufactured" and the way they are treated.
was also an eye opener on what is inside our food
still can't afford to lead an organic lifestyle though0 -
It's been a while, but as I recall, the big thing for me was just the amount of control the big corporations have over everything food. Practically speaking, I have a greater appreciation for meat that is not over processed on the hoof. Here in Colorado, it is possible to find free range beef if you try, and I am going to appreciate elk meat more than I did in the past. As usual with documentaries, though, I think some caution should be taken in regard to agendas. I didn't buy the whole victimization of the chicken farmers. The math and logic just didn't work out (with the woman used as the example).0

I totally get what you're saying about documentaries and their agendas. I always do my research after I watch them, I just like the different perspectives0 -

Buying everything organic can be expensive....but you can also try cutting back on meat instead of substituting it. You might like it.
Yeah, I've noticed I've really only been eating poultry lately.. And buying all organic is def expensive. I've been doing it for a while! :laugh:0
