Anyone know how to lose the gut?

Hey everyone,
I've been trying to lose weight/tone my gut down for the past 2 years. I've lost a lot of weight and I still feel like my tummy isn't going down as I want it to. Everywhere else on my body is getting noticeably smaller but not my gut...if anything it is now more pronounced since everything around it is getting smaller.
I work out 3-4 times a week, doing cardio, weight training and abs and eat about 1200 calories a day or less depending on my hunger level/ate a lot the day before.
I am 24 years old, female, 5'5" and weight 163.4 pounds. my target weight is 140 pounds and have a nice flat tummy.
if anyone has a suggestion for an exercise or meal plan that can help me let me know
also if you want to add me to cheer me on/need support from a fellow "I am not pregnant I am just tubby" feel free to do so

Eat breakfast and snacks in between meals to keep your metabolism going. Also, lift weights and drink lots of water. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot reducing, but work your abs, a lot, none the less. Have an awesome day!0

I find that low carb high protein high fiber worked to get rid of my tummy AND love handles0

Weights, eat clean, lots of water....abs are made in the kitchen.0

Have you had kids in the past? Sometimes the gut truly never goes away after that.
My gut used to look caved in, it was so slim.
After my son, even when I was at my lightest and doing every ab exercise under the sun, the gut never went totally away.0 -

Please don't get discouraged. It sounds like you're doing everything right. For many people the gut is the last place they lose the fat. Hang in there and continue eating healthy, lifting weights and doing cardio. It will happen, I promise.
Try doing more core exercises like planks (standard and side) and prone jackknife (aka swiss ball rollout). Watch this video for a demonstration. It helped me tremendously! I noticed a huge difference in my mid-section after just a few weeks. If you don't have a swiss ball, get one. They're inexpensive and so versatile.

Remember that nothing you do, see, try etc will remove the fat from a specific place.
You can burn your core and abs all you like, all you're doing is toning the muscles UNDER the fat, not actually targeting the fat, as you cant spot reduce fat.
Just keep the healthy diet going, keep working out, and the stomach fat will eventually melt.0 -
I believe that there is no magic formula. If you see a particular part of your body that you view as "fat" it's because you have extra weight. The only thing that is going to remove the extra inches is losing weight. I'm dealing with the same thing right now. I'm only about 10lbs more than I need to be but boy does it show. My fat deposits on the obliques more than anywhere else. This is genetics. Hard work is the only thing that is going to correct it. I've been using the food and exercise calculators on here religiously for the past week. I recommend the same for anyone. It really holds you accountable.0

I was very overweight so I lost those so called "love handles" and never really had them.. i was more of an apple shape.. But intense high pact cardio has made me lose all around my stomach and even though i carry my weight up in the front.. ugh.. its slowly decreasing..
