I'm in the minority!

Yep, that's what my doctor told me this morning. I am in the minority of the people in the US who AREN'T overweight. Only 1/3 of the country can say that!

So, if you're in the minority too, GREAT JOB! If you're not and are trying to join us, good job on you too. Let's flip this thing around so someday the minority is the people who are overweight.

    Yes me too, my doctor told me I dont need to lose more weight, I myself just want to be more toned around the middle.

    Yes 2/3rds of the country are considered overweight, but keep in mind, they use BMI to determine that. There are thousands of professional athletes that are in fantastic shape that are statistically considered overweight. Remember, Arnold Schwarzenegger at his bodybuilding competitive peak was considered Obese according to the BMI scale.

    I'm not saying obesity isn't an epidemic in this country, I just wish they would use a more accurate method of testing it. Body fat would be great. I for one, will always be considered "overweight" even once I hit my goal weight and goal body fat percentage.

    I guess you can count me in on that too. Finally within the mid-range of normal weight range on the BMI. Bodyfat % is at 13 last I checked.

    That's awesome. I agree we need to wrk to turn that number around. We need to watch after ouselves, our significant others and our children. Thanks for teh encouragement. I'm a close to not being obese and plan to keep going!
