SO, I'm traveling for work beginning this Wednesday. My days will still be pretty structured, but I will have much less control over my meals, as the company will provide catering. I'm worried I'll eat more than I should at a point where I'm really feeling in the zone. Diet is going well, exercize is coming along, and I'm losing weight.

Any ideas, suggestions, or words of encouragement would be great. Thanks

You just have to maintain self-control and make healthy, wise choices. If catering options have no good choices, then you must let someone know and step out and go get your own food. Don't let anyone twist your arm into eating food that is not a part of your plan.

Bring your own meals. That way, you'll know how many calories you are consuming and you won't feel guilty. It's just a simple advice. You can decided. Every problem has a solution.

THink before you eat. Don't just grab stuff, think portion size, nutrients, sugars, carbs,.... When I do buffet type things, I do small portions of a variety of things trying to make a colorful plate (ie lots of veggies!!) I do minimal - none of bread and pastas. Drink water with lemon in it instead of soda or alcohol. Bring some healthy snacks with you taht you could keep in a tote bag or something so when you get an urge to munch you have only healthy options.
I'm sure you are going to do better than youa re giving yourself credit for!!!!!!

I can only suggest, pay attention to portion control. Have stuff, but less of it than you would normally get.

I would suggest taking your time in making the best food choices.
Your healthy habits are going to kick in, making it instinctual to select better foods. I've found that my eyes are still much bigger than my stomach sometimes, but my tastebuds and my stomach seem to know better! Funny how the tastebuds and stomach used to work against me and now they rally around me!

Is there a gym in the hotel where you will be staying? If so, just working out a little in the morning before you start your day will help.... Resist the urge to have the cookies and sodas, there should be pitchers of water on the table (especially if you are in all day meetings), and generally there are lots of fruits.... My friend who travels, will often bring almonds as a snack.... Try to eat what you'd normally eat at home- so if you normally have cereal, resist the urge to upgrade to the waffle....Maybe also eat half the portion if it looks too big.... Stay true to yourself and what you think is right... If you've been on this for longer than a month, there will probably be little warning bells going off in your head if you start to stray.... Best of luck to you!!

Remember, portions, as well as chug that water baby! You want to eat as much :)
