Okay, i've noticed ever since I started losing weight (total of 64 lbs. now) my monthly has changed dramatically.
I'm regular as i've always been but it's VERY light and doesn't last as long.

Any changes with ya'll?

Athletes in general tend to have lighter cycles. So it's a good thing.

Mine is becomming more regular, and is over a bit faster it seems, but that is all I have noticed so far. I am by no means complaining, but I have been off the pill for over a year now so it is nice to be somewhat back to regular

All over the place, really. I am now back to the dreaded Pill, after taking a "mental health break" for the past 3 months (I only use the Pill to help my skin, I don't need it for preventing pregnancy) and now I am sadly back on that crazy train. My body obviously doesn't process hormones very well on its own but the Pill makes me feel like I am continually 2 months preggers--nausea, hyper sensitivity to smells, weird appetite. So fun.

I have heard that any major change in weight, up or down, can cause changes in your cycle. Sounds like you got the good end of the deal--super light and shorter duration.

Yup, I have been regular for years, I have dropped 13 pounds and this month my cycle was shorter and lighter! i am very happy about that. I remembered that the less body fat you have the less the cycle? Or did I get that from a Demi Moore movie? Anyone?

Yah, the less I weigh the closer together and more regular they become (used to be 50-60 days between! Now they're 28-30) AND they tend to be less "dramatic."

I just posted this type of question in the stay-at-home-mom thread early this morning. Not really sure what is going on, but it's nice to know that I'm not alone.:flowerforyou:

I'm your opposite- although I'm still regular, mine are very heavy and very painful while they used to be painfree and quite light. It's awful

    That bites!!!
I'm sorry to hear that! Both of my sisters are thin but have always experienced very painful periods. I feel bad for them.

Mine are shorter lighter, too. Funny, I never thought it had anything to do with the weightloss until now! But I guess it makes sense, I'm 30 lbs lighter than last year. And one of my friends in high school was very over weight, she said hers lasted for 10 days!

but my periods have been crazy heavy for the past 7 or 8 years due to endometriosis... but since i have started watching what i eat they are lighter and less crampy.....

I have noticed that mine is also more regular, light, and faster. I am loving it, but I hate being bloated along with all of the cravings. I swear chocolate is going to do me in along with the salt. HE HEE>

    Yes, I've noticed a difference.
    heavier but shorter.
All those fertility hormones are glycoproteins and yes, hormones are definitely affected by exercise and fat loss.
