I dont have this, but did teach cardiac rehab.....first, check with your cardiolgist and nuerologist to make sure you are good to go.....second....is there a gym at your hospital? Get a trainer....a good one. I am thinking walking is alwaysngoing tonbethe best shot for you.....also, do not forget the weitghs, muscle burns more fat!!!!!! Sorry for the typos....ipad!0

I don't have either of these, but I think it's responsible of you to make the decision on how to exercise carefully. Because you have epilepsy and cardiosyncope, I would recommend exercise that keeps you in one place and with other people. I would assume swimming, running, and other activities that leave you alone and away from home to be risky.
Have you discussed this with your doctor? I think, while I can make some recommendations, your doc is going to know you best and the severity of your illnesses. Do you know your triggers? How often do you have syncopal episodes? If they come on without warning, it may be tougher.
Some things that came to mind were yoga (NOT hot/bikram yoga because this could exacerbate your syncope)- but be sure to check with your doc again first. Yoga may be good in that you're with other people, you can easily stop if you need to, and you stay in one spot. However, some yoga requires a lot of standing up quickly that could make you dizzy. So If you chose to do yoga, be sure to also talk with the instructor first about your conditions, they may have additional insight. I've actually gotten great workouts from yoga before and built some pretty cool muscles from it in the past. It's a surprisingly good workout for body and soul
Another idea for good cardio is rowing. Some places have "erging" classes where you row on a stationary rowing machine as a group. A very very good workout, and while it's nothing like being out on the water, it definitely has its perks. One reason I think this might be best for you is that you may not get as dizzy if your low to the ground and always staying in one level plane. Spinning is similar, but some classes have you bouncing in and out of your seat, have lots of crazy music/lights that could trigger a seizure.
Just a few ideas. But again, check with your doc before you try something out to be sure.

my b/f does too, he's lifting, running, dieting the works - make sure your Dr. clears it and is monitoring you closely!!!! They may have to change your meds and as you know anything that alters your physiology can cause a seizure. If you have warning signs watch closely for them even if most of the time its nothing and your overreacting. Also - drink lots of water, get good sleep and make sure your eating right!! This helps him to not have a seizure. Exercise, water and eating right will actually help w/ sleeping better too! good luck!0

I would love to help you with this. First off you can easily get by with just walking for your exercise if you are giving your body proper nutrition, which can also help you with the condition. I have access to Dr. Ray Strand's website, one of the top nutritional specialists in the world, and I can look up what he recommends. I dropped my weight from 178 to 150 from May 6 - July 5 and have been set at 150 ever since, and that is with less exercise than I was doing before! Let me know if you'd like assistance with this and I would be more than happy to help!0

i cannot drive so going anywhere is out of the question. I do however have a treadmill an eliptical at my house. I used to do at least an hour to hour an half doing cardio. Also walking my dog was good. syncope attacks are now daily about to try different meds for it. I will try the treadmill but with no one here i spend most of my time alone i eat right and drink water all day long. I can no l onger ride my horse while alone of course i cannot go swimming lol .. i am pretty light hearted about my ailments but the meds are putting weight on me slowly but surely. I need to get at least a stone off.0
