Interesting thought popped into my head tonight.--I am eating much healthier and exercising. As a result, I'm bringing in much healthier options, cooking lighter, portioning out servings, eating out less, and asking for a partner (kids, husband) when going on walks.

Have any of your SO's lost weight just because YOU have made changes?

I suspect my husband will drop pounds, and I'll be a tiny bit jealous that he didn't have to 'work' for it as much as I have---meaning all of the prepping, planning, weighing portions, etc, ha!

Mine has gained 30 lbs. He loves the food but hasn't mastered portion control.

    Hey choconuts!

My hubby is a bit of a fitness guru and was always fit and toned but when I became more health conscious and diet savvy he has found that he has been sleeping better, had more energy at the gym, and just felt better all round as I am preparing healthier meals.

Ontop of that, I socialise differantly and lucky for me my friends happily supported me by having less catch ups revolving around food and it has slowly become a habit for us - We are all eating out less because it is not the focus of our get togethers anymore.

I love noticing all the little things that have changed in my life since making a conscious effort to be healthier, Thanks for raising such a feel good topic!

    Kylie.

I told him he's not allowed to come to the gym with me until I weigh less then he does. It's only twenty pounds, but I've never weighed less than he did, and I'm sure as soon as he even thinks the word "healthy" the pounds will start falling off of him.
He is getting better food at home, and he's incredibly supportive.

My annoying husband is underweight. But, he has been eating healthier and is exercising now (whereas he did not before). I will refrain from using four letter word references as to how a person could possibly be underweight and not exercise. Don't even get me going!

But seriously, my entire family is healthier. My kids are excited and everyone is supportive! Love it.

My hubby has dropped 20lbs since I started MFP. He is doing a lot better on portion control too. However, with me shopping healthier and smarter..there are some things he won't eat and he'll order pizza or go out to get something.

My SO is already on the borderline of underweight/normal weight but ate terribly.

Since we have been going out she has started to eat a healthier diet as she feels guilty seeing me eat clean :D

I have also managed to encourage many of my coworkers to start eating fruit each day and since I started doing half ironman triathlons and now training for a full ironman triathlon, a few friends and my cousin have taken up sprint tri's.

Leading by example is the way to go!

My SO id NOT on board with healthy eating or exercise at all! She is supportive of me, just not willing to make the changes herself. When we got together 7 years ago she was a size 12. Now, she is an 18. I wish she were smaller and more healthy. I'm so aware of portions and calories it drives her crazy!

It would make life easier if she would eat more than just corn for veggies. I'm always making separate meals for her and our children.

My 13 year old daughter on the other hand is my walking/running partner.. I LOVE it..gives us some alone time to get caught up and for me makes the time go faster.
