My name is Brittany and I just had a baby, well 4 months ago, but it feels like just yesterday I had her. Her name is Talia and she was worth every pound! I gained 60 pounds with her, eventhough I worked out for 41 weeks! I gave birth at 200 pounds and I am not 153.4 pounds, I have 13 more pounds to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight and 18 pounds to be at my goal weight. I walk about 3 to 4 times a week and I getting back in to running. My husband's weight worries me so I also have him on a baby weight diet. We are a young couple (I am 22 and he is 28). His jobs requires him to sit around a lot and it is also very stressful (he is an attorney) so losing weight is tough. My job (being a mom and a part-time speech therapist) I am on my feet a lot in a school and also with the baby. I have been a part of this site for a while but I am now taking it seriously because I could use a little encouragement and also somewhere to vent being I am a young new mom and wife.

  • Good luck to you, and congrats on the progress so far! My wife is very active and I have a very stressful job also so I know where you are coming from. But we have been t it a lot longer than you- we have 4 kids from teenager to 3 years old. My wife is in her 40s and I am in my 50s. Staying in shape is a real challenge (especially with kids) but I think myfitnesspal is great. It makes it easy to keep track of what you eat and being more aware of choices helps you control eating. Or, if you really must eat, you figure out how much exercise you are going to have to do to compensate. Get your husband on the website as well- it will be a fun thing to do together.
