I need some inspiration as I have run out of new ideas for easy & satisfying savoury snacks/light meals, hot or cold.
Criteria is: less than 120 calories per snack and no more than 5 grams of fat.
PS> My current favourites are:
- Carrot sticks with low fat hummous
- Low fat cottage cheese w/ sauteed sliced tomatoes, garlic and onions on 1 slice wholemeal toast
- 2 Eggs (whites only) with 1 slice wholemeal toast (with lowest fat spread available)
- Ryvita x 2 with herb and garlic philly spread
- Greek salad with tiny cubes of low fat feta and lemon juice instead of olive oil
- Thin slice low fat cheese on a fat reduced rich tea biscuit (yep, it's lovely)

Winiary instant Borsch beetroot soup (200ml = 38 cals 0.4g fat) plus either Morrisons melba toast or a couple of Ryvitas.
I stumbled on this soup while in Tesco one day having a nosey in the section where they sell their Polish/Russian range and it's been my best find since I started MFP
Oh, and mini marmite rice cakes (83 cals a pack) with some low fat philly on, my favourite afternoon snack0 -
Those are good snacks. I used to do a lot of processed snacks, but after last week being put on HBP pills and cholesterol. I have looked at the sodium content on processed food and it is INSANE! I look forward to seeing what others put oup as suggestions. I need ideas too!0

The 100 Calorie packs are always good if you're in a hurry. Laughing Cow Cheese or hummus and Kashi Pita Chips are a fave of mine although they may be over your calorie goal. I'm a big fan of Fruit Leather Strips, you can find them in any major grocery store and they're easier then carrying an apple around in your purse.0

Popcorn is always a good one. I like to pop it in coconut oil and just a tiny bit of salt. Yummy!
Celery and peanut butter is a fav too.0 -
Egg white omelets with veggies and Low fat popcorn.0

Sweet potato with salt, pepper, and a light buttery spread
wheat flat bread or crackers with light cream cheese spread and jam, apple butter, or pear slices
mini pizza made on a whole wheat pita or english muffin
pretzel crisps with mustard dip
1 oz. baked chips and salsa
spiced almonds or other nuts
1 bowl low-sodium tomato soup with wheat crackers
sun-dried tomatos0 -
Some really great ideas thanks all!
I am big on snacking and not so big on 3 larger main meals a day, I graze a lot :ohwell: So if anyone else has any more suggestions, I'd love to hear them...0 -
I've been loving a low calorie/low carb tortilla with some apple and PB2...and then I dip it in a fat free vanilla yogurt. YUM!0
